One of my favourite shops in Kemptown. I hadn't been for a while because I always end up spending more in there than I can afford, but yesterday I was enticed by the sign informing passers by about their half price sale. What I am always interested in whenever in go in there is their selection of books, so once again I headed straight for the bookshelf. There were a few other customers there, and it was nice to be around like-minded people. I soon chose a book which was within my interest and price range, and was surprised to be charged only half of what the label said, as I hadn't realised that the half price sale applied to the books as well. After I found out about it, I couldn't resist having another look, and once again ended up spending far more on two more books than I had intended to leave in their till. It was certainly worth it though.
The staff certainly know their stuff, unlike the employees of some of the more new-agey places where they look at you as if you were the devil if you dare to ask for anything beyond simple witchcraft or tarot! :)
This place isn't about magic in the Paul Daniels sense, this is real magic or maybe it's magik with a "K".
They sell real spell books and real equipment for mixing your potions. I didn't ask if the magic came with a money back guarantee ... turn your enemy into a frog or your money back.
They also sell jewellery, it's all of the gothic pentangle school of jewellery design, but then what other style of jewels would any witch or warlock want?
As I write this I am thinking that this is surely and "only in Brighton" kinda shop, and will create a guide to that effect forthwith.
DawnBowring Nope, those kinda shoips are pretty much everywhere. However, they serve the Wiccan Religion mainly and therefore, are not recieved well when they stand out in the middle of the town-kind of like a tattooist amongst a bunch of antique shops but if your Wiccan, you will find them.x
