Shanti Tandoori Restaurant

Had a takeaway from here tonight and was very impressed. I am usually weary of trying new indian’s but this risk definitely paid off. Starters, sides, mains, rice and naan plus poppadoms for myself and my boyfriend came to 35 quid (with 10% collection discount). Not to mention quick service and superb quality. The portions were very generous!!

It seems they are currently refurbishing the inside and hope to reopen the restaurant 18th august (ish). Takeaway is open as usual but I will definitely make the trip back and eat in once it is finished!

One of the main plus points are the great offers on their website and the sunday night banquet (any starter, any side, any main plus rice or naan for £10.95) however that’s only if you eat in.

I have been going to the Shanti for years... Like any place it can have its bad nights, but more often than not I cannot fail the service and the food is really good. Good dishes are their baltis, and anything under the chef's specials.

If you are looking for a good deal, on Thursday nights you can get a starter and main with rice or naan for under £10. Also very popular are their Elvis nights... I have not been myself, but I have heard very good feedback!
