Food was good but the service was poor. Everything took very very long, at the end we had enough of waiting for the waiter and we decided to skip desert and eat accross the street. It was the highlight of the evening.

Best sushi in Helsinki in sophisticated yet relaxed setting. Effortlessly friendly and polite staff which is rare in Helsinki. Expensive but worth the money.

Impressive decor, good service, tasty and consistent food. Wait, am I really in Helsinki? Started with a rich and flavorsome miso soup, and then we dived into a sushi platter, a sashimi platter and some a la carte to round out. The pacific mackerel was fantastic, and the spider roll and rainbow roll were also good. The sushi and sashimi platters were consistently good, without that all to often disappointing dud note. Good work. The place was a little quiet for a Saturday night, but it warmed up as the evening rolled on. So why only 4 stars? In a word, price. Clearly the expensive decor and home in Helsinki’s most expensive hotel, the Kämp, takes its toll at bill time. The sake we ordered from the small list was good, but 99€ for a smallish bottle is a little steep. So, if you want a treat, feel like celebrating with friends, or best if the company is paying, head to Yume without delay.
