I have found sakura an excellent place to eat out on numerous occasions. The customer service i would say is a four out of five but the only reason being because the few staff i have encountered don’t seem to speak english too well. The restaurant is modern and sleek.
The price of dishes are typical of what you would pay for sushi and other japanese delicacies. Although japanese food in general i have found to be always quite expensive here in england. Being chinese myself i did not notice any meals that were cantonese(unless rice is counted?) as cagivachick did on her unfortunate visit. The meals are fresh and delicious with some meals cooked right in front of you - if you have never experienced dining teppanyaki style, sakura is the place to visit in preston. I have always enjoyed the food on each visit and is a great place for fun social gatherings with friends or family. Hope this has helped.

I was unfortunate enough to visit Sakura for their Sunday afternoon buffet. I have visited various Japanese restaurants and have always found the cuisine to be light and tasty.
The restaurant is very nice to look at, with a beautiful large fish tank, but the main thing you come for is the food. It is not genuine Japanese, but a watered down version mingled with Cantonese favourites. The food on the hotplate was cold. When queried, they looked in and, with a shrug, replied that it was because it was near the air con vent - this was on a cold January afternoon!
When we didn’t want anything else and asked to pay for the drinks and leave, we were treated appalling, kept waiting and given a bill of £15 for tea and a small jug of sake.
If you want to try genuine Japanese food at a reasonable price, Samsi in Manchester or Wilmslow will never let you down.
