4 reviews of Red Peppers in English
We live literally next door and have only recently decided to try this place. We always thought it looked a little lack-lustre from the outside but we are very glad we decided to venture in. Once inside, we were impressed with how nice it was and the staff were very nice. It was EXTREMELY busy (lots of christmas staff meals there it looked like) but our order of 4 meals arrived within 5 mins of ordering! Amazing! The food was lovely too. The only reason they are losing a star is because their menu is not marked with any ‘V’ for vegetarian dishes and as two of four of us were Vegetarian, it took us awhile to look through the menu to figure out what we could eat or not. It would be very helpful if Red Peppers could use the simple system which most other restaurants use of simply marking a ‘V’ next to dishes which are vegetarian.
We are very glad we decided to try the place though and we left impressed.
The food in red peppers is fantastic. Its definitely worth a visit. The prices are not too bad for its locaion. A restaurant in the mailbox could be expected to be over priced but for the quality, the price is good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would love to go back whenever i can. They even gave us a 10% discount for our next visit. the garlic bread is amazing!
This is a lovely restaurant where you always get service with a smile! With reasonable prices at both lunch and dinner service, Red Peppers has something to offer everyone.
This is one of the busiest restaurants in the Mailbox complex and you are always gauranteed to find it full so reservations are a must for larger parties.
The great menu offers a delicious variety of food with mostly mediterranean and Italian influences. Red Peppers is child friendly and caters for all.
Although it is a large restaruant with two floors it can feel a little cramped inside sometimes - but this is usually only when I haven’t already reserved a table.
The food is always spectacular and made to a clear high standard. A particular favourite of mine is the moussaka which tastes as good as it did two years back when I first discovered Red Peppers.
The bar menu is equally fantastic, with many cocktails to choose from and prices you would expect at the Mailbox but with larger glasses.
I have organised christmas parties here for the past two years and it has always been the perfect venue, the staff and the great manager are always more than helpful and go out of thier way to make the occasion something to remember.
It is the ideal location for a celebration or just a meal out - just remember to pre-book!
This Italian (mainly) restaurant was great fun, and the food was generally fabulous.
There were 22 of us and the waiting staff brought the food to the tables as quickly as we could have hoped for, and was generally well received by all.
I started with the Natchos: a huge plate full of warm corn chips with sour cream, guacamole and refried beans among other delights. Too much for me to finish as I didn’t want to spoil my main course.
Main course was salmon fillet on a bed of cous cous with spicy Morroccan butter. Hot and really delicious.
Most of the rest of the party enjoyed their freshly cooked pizzas and other pasta dishes.
Drinks were bought at the bar before we sat down, but no problem attracting the waiting staff to get us refills.
My only niggle was the lack of space allocated to our party. When we arrived we were the only large party there, but we had been given a non-too generous table right by the door. Given the available space, I would have thought that we could have been spread out a little better.
Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the food and considering the quality, the value was also excellent. Pizzas were around £7 each, and my salmon dish was £12.
Do try it, you won’t be disappointed.
