The Millers has been a "family" pub since i was little, now with my own child and my family we have visited a couple of times to find its steadily going downhill..... lunchtime menu states baguettes and you get ciabatta which is not the same thing! the menu is very limited for vegetarians, it is trying to pull of "gastro" pub style food but sadly the food is poor quality. They claim to serve Sunday Roast all day, but they had sold out of all options by 6pm, even though it wasnt busy.
The staff can be quite pushy and try to send families into the empty restaurant as not to disturb the diners that did get a Sunday Roast, they didnt inform us whilst arranging our table that they had sold out but let us look at the menu, decide what we wanted and then told us. dissapointing.
having been a "regular" for over 25 years i will not be returning until there is new managment that provide the service it deserves, and recreates a real pub menu, and bar snacks that are snacks!!!
Stayed here for one night in June 09 for a friends wedding reception.
Rooms decorated to a nice standard, but the bathrooms were a bit naff and ours soaked the windowsill when you used the shower.
Free parking on site.
Nice inside, there is a waterwheel inside.
The bar food was great quality and a good price.

A disappointing experience. We had booked for a lunch time table of 8 at 1pm on a recent bank holiday.
When we arrived the place was less than half full and ours was the largest group. It took ages for our food to be sent out - over 40 mins. By the time the starters had arrived for the two adults who ordered them we were asking for the two children's meals to be brought out as they were fading away. My meal was incorrect but I was so hungry by the time it arrived I would have eaten shoe leather.
An explanation of 'sorry we're a bit busy' really didn't impress - if you don't have the staff then don't take the booking ... it's not like they didn't know we were coming.
Attractive venue with a water wheel which amused the children. Ample car parking and it looks like an 'events' type place so maybe just an off day but we're not planning to go back.
