Great hairdressers! I can honestly say David cuts my hair better than any other hairdresser I've had and I'm really happy with my hair. Definitely recommend a visit for a nice natter, really helpful advice and a great haircut!

Loved this place! After years of being unhappy with my hairdresser, but too scared to stop going to her, i was thrilled with the results. A great cut with the best layers I've ever had.
The owner not only gave me a great haircut but put me instantly at ease and had great chat.
Would ( and have) recommended to everyone!

David and his team are amazing! They always make you feel so welcome and at ease and they are fantastic at what they do! They really have an instinct for creating amazing hair styles for me! :-)))
More than a cut above the rest. There really isn't any other competition and it is great that I can be one of many people who can support David's wonderful salon.

I’ve been a regular at Gecko for over 4 years only to be professionally guided through colours and styles that suit me! David has been brilliant from the beginning and the transition has seen me go from long, thin, boring straight hair to a funky pixie cut with a blonde streak through the fringe. David and his team are always welcoming and great to have a chat and laugh with whilst getting my hair done. I’ve recommended David and his team who have years of experience, to several of my friends and they’ve never been disappointed!

Love gecko. Been going for around 6 years now, since I felt compelled to return to blonde after pretending to be a more natural brunette whilst pregnant. David saw me through the transition phase and has been looking after me ever since. Gecko is a proper hairdresser where you can relax, have a natter, catch up on some mags and all whilst getting excellent professional hairdressing. I also like how they dont give you the annoying hard sell on every product and treatment going (like Rush). They might give you some advice but thankfully dont bang on. Thanks David ... X

I am a previous stylist from gecko and i have worked across the board when it comes to salons and i can safely say gecko hair of camden is beautiful salon that offers the best in service and hospitality. Their standard of hair and beauty is second to none and i am proud to say i have worked there. It is a warm friendly atmosphere that puts you at ease as soon as you walk through the door. I always felt very comfortable working there and that a very professional standard was offerd to all. i would recommend this salon to anyone for whatever they may be looking for, whether it may be a classical shape to a fashionable camden street style. try it i know you'll love it.xx

I have been using Gecko for 5 years now and love going to the salon it's more like an afternoon out and not just a hairdressers appointment the staff are fab and my hair always looks good. Would not now go anywhere else. Lyn

Amazing hairdresser in an amazing atmosphere! Ever since I discovered David a few years ago I have not let anyone else touch my hair. Even now that I don't live in London anymore I go back to get my hair done by David everytime I am visiting! I think that says it all! Highly recommended!

Professional styling by David, done in a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. I truly felt as though I looked like a star by the time I left. New hair, and about 5 years knocked off my age. Definitely recommending to my friends.

Unlike many of the hairdressing salons in Camden, Gecko Hair is the real deal. I always feel in very capable hands and peace of mind is essential where hair styling in concerned. The prices are very reasonable too considering the level of expertise at the place. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Top notch!

Love this place, been a regular customer for 5 years and wouldn’t consider going anywhere else, relaxed friendly and great service and nicely priced. I often get compliments on my hair cut!!.

Have been going here for around 4 years now, very good hairdressers indeed. I got sick of going to hairdressers and being very specific about what I wanted, but leaving with something completely different. These guys really actually listen to what you want and then just do it, working with you throughout – they know my hair and my preferences so well now (I change it drastically quite a lot and am very fussy) that I wouldn’t dare go anywhere else now. Plus they look after you really well – there’s a garden you can have a ciggy and a glass of wine or tea in while you’re waiting for something to set or dye to take, and loads of good, up to date magazines – though I always chat so much with them that I don’t need to read to kill the time! Great place, and good value too. Lovely staff. Would DEFINITELY recommend. :)

I was brought here by a friend and was a little nervous at first. This was not the usual glitzy hair salon I had been going to. However in just minutes I was made to feel very much at home by the owner and other members of this very cosy salon.
Ok so then I explained my problem (colour) and after a few minutes (probably to calm me down) David suggested a few possible solutions and offered me a coffee while I considered these.
Now I know I'm pretty fussy but I must admit I had no complaints when eventually after much work (and pampering) I was finally allowed to see the results.
Congratulations to all at Gecko you have made me a believer. Kelly

Small friendly salon just 2 minutes from the tube and 30 seconds from Starbucks. I love this place and David the owner is such a wonderful stylist.
This is a genuine find especially if you live in North London.
Even better is the fact that you don't have to pay West End prices for a really good cut and colour.

Walked pass this small but great little salon the other day after having a near death experience in another salon and went in because i hated what they had done..I found the staff at gecko very friendly and relaxed and they really chilled me out after such a nightmare..After 45mins i walked out loving my hair and will be going back again in four weeks...
Try this place your love it its so cool!!!!!!!!!!..

Checked out this tiny salon and was incredibly happy with the results. It's the first time in my life that a hairdresser has listened to my input and what I wanted and I've come out happy with my hair. I wanted a nerdy Velma-like cut and that's exactly what i got, yay!
The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly- the two stylists were gossiping with me and were open about swearing, although I'm sure if I had been offended and told them to stop they would have. The cuppa I was given was lovely and I genuinely enjoyed having my hair cut.

Randomly found the place as I walked home in Camden- I was in a foul mood when I got there- ended up with a great haircut leaving me feeling fantastic. Totally agree with the other comments, David is great & it was a nice relaxing experience having my hair done there- I will be recommending it to my friends, and going back for colour soon.

Am currently sporting what has been generously described as 'not that bad of a haircut compared to your usual’, and it’s all thanks to these guys! I was ordered out of the house a few weeks ago to seek a trim, and I landed here. 30 minutes later and around 19 quid less well off, I was very happy. Highly recommended, they make a cracking brew.

Small hairdressers in the heart of Camden Town, just around the corner from the tube station, off Parkway. Small, friendly, professional - and 15% for the first visit! Hairdresser David was great - really pleased with both my haircut and colour and all the local gossip I found out while my hair was being done! The female hairdresser who also works there was also very good by the looks of things. Highly recommend.
*Have just upgraded to 5 stars after another great cut and gossip!
