Oblong Restaurant, Hove

I went for dinner with some friends. The food was tasty, well-presented and of a high standard. The atmosphere was good and there were Tuacas all round! If you like a good portion however, you’d better have a snack before you go in because they’re not so generous with the accompaniments, and the potatoes seem to be rationed. What spoiled the night for me was when after half an hour the waiter did not return with our change and when we asked what had become of it the staff had no idea how much we’d even given them….in fairness though, neither did we.

Went here for lunch - lovely place and very friendly service. Food was OK but not spectacular - I had Chicken fajita foccacia sandwich, wife had eggs hollandaise breakfast. My chicken was overdone and her bread was cold. Flavours were nice though.

Biggest problem was that the food was very slow - over 30mins and there was only a few customers.

If you want a proper sunday lunch/dinner. This is the place to come. Lamb, pork, beef or chicken roast potatoes, seperate dish of vegetables, a yorkshire pudding almost as big as the plate. Wonderful place definately recommend. I haven’t had anything other than a roast here yet but I will bereturning to try the other dishes they have, including the specials that seem to change each time I walk past.

Fantastic! Great atmosphere - great food and lovely staff. Party of 10 including two children, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. Like previous reviewer - we will be returning too!!!
