I had a limited budget, and limited time, but thanks to Doug’s relaxed approach and careful instruction it was a breeze. Passed first time after a couple of months with only 5 minors!

I had two previous instructors with other companies and couldn’t get along with them, but after one lesson with Doug I found I had no problems and that I would be sure to get the necessary experience in the required time.

Firm instruction, but with infinite patience, and very quick reactions during some of my poorer decisions! Didn’t feel hurried, or panicky at any point.

He made me at ease instantly and was very calm and reassuring. He was extremely supportive when I made mistakes and had the patience to listen to anything I was unsure about.

A lovely laid back man and I will truly miss my lessons every week.

With a 12 year hiatus from driving, I decided to go with brighton driving based on all the positive reviews. 3 months down the line and I'm here writing a 5 star review for Steve, as another pupil of his that has passed first time! Needless to say, I'm super happy with the result and it is down to Steve's teaching; the lessons are calm, well structured and I gained confidence with each one. I can't recommend highly enough!! Calm, grounded, straightforward, kind and patient. He always put me at ease, gave praise where necessary but let me know where I needed to change or tweek something I was doing wrong..

I really enjoyed learning with Steve and he was a great teacher. Our lessons were full of laughs and consequently I passed first time with 8 minors. I could not recommend Brighton Driving Lessons enough, especially Steve. He built up my confidence and my driving skills and I love driving.

I have been learning with steve on and off for years ive just passed my test and will really miss my lessons he is a great instructor and a lovely man, already recommended him to family and friends. Steve had given me the confidents to get on the road and i would recommend him to everyone!! i will remember my driving lessons forever thanks steve...

Errrm... I've just read the reviews above and I'm not sure what I can add except that I had a very similarly great experience learning to drive with Paul Jones of Brighton Driving Lessons.

Patient, calm and thorough Paul was great at reassuring me when the nerves set in or I made a mistake. Each lesson was well structured and the course as a whole proceeded at just the right pace.

Thanks to Paul I passed my test first time!

BRIGHTON DRIVING LESSONS = FIRST TIME PASS...!!!! Steve is a brilliant instructor, and it is impossible not to get along with him! he made me love driving and i will truly miss our great driving lessons with him. He was highly recommended to me and i highly recommend him to everyone else. i would recomend my driving instructor paul jones to everyone he was always calm and relaxed and never made me feel silly when i made mistakes. i dont think i could have passed my test with another instructor.

My experience of learning to drive with Steve has been a pleasure from start to finish. I put off learning to drive for 18 years believing I would be a terrible driver but after a personal recommendation I plucked up the courage to call him and 6 months later I passed first time! Steve is a very laid back guy and with his constant reassurance and encouragement you feel that driving is absolutely within your grasp. He is very methodical in his teaching method which is very carefully planned out and thought through so that you never feel you're asked to do something you're not ready for. I really enjoyed hanging out with Steve and will miss seeing him every week. Highly recommended, fantastic instructor, call him now - it'll be the best decision you make!

Although I have no basis for comparison, Steve is a brilliant instructor, and it is impossible not to get along with him! Steve has a very calming influence, which I found extremely helpful during some of the more anxious moments I experienced when learning to drive. I Have lots of friends who have told me horror stories about previous instructors they have used, and I can gladly say that Steve did not present with any of the negative behaviours I have been informed one can experience when learning to drive. Steve is a great instructor and also a great bloke too. I would highly recommend his services to anybody looking to start their driving lessons. Especially if you are of a nervous disposition like me!!

I came learn to drive quite late and was apprehensive about how I would get on with my instructor. Paul made me feel very at ease and was never condescending or patronizing in any way. Paul is very patient and teaches in a way that is easy to grasp, he is calm and always reassuring. Paul focuses on the positives for the most part and I found that great for building my confidence. I passed third time; after my first test Paul helped put everything right and iron out those crucial inconsistencies. I was really unlucky on the second test, and third time I passed. I feel I will be a better driver, sensible and assured thanks to Paul. He is also a genuinely stand up guy that made my lessons a pleasure.

I will genuinely miss the lessons!

Aside from having about 6 lessons over 5 years ago I came to Paul with little driving experience. In around 5 months I passed my test first time! I felt very relaxed driving with Paul and his patience made the whole experience completely stress free. He is very thorough in his teaching and great at explaining things when you're struggling.. "up and pound, down a pound". I would definitely recommend Paul to anyone planning to learn how to drive. He's a dude

I have just completed a session of refresher driving lessons with Steve and cannot recommend him highly enough. Last year I gave up my car after having lost my confidence in driving due to personal reasons. However, just recently I decided to give it a go again after having read some very complimentary reviews on Steve's website.

I was not disappointed - Steve is friendly, calm and relaxed and his tuition was most informative and more importantly - fun. I learnt a lot - which is not surprising since I took my test more than 30 years ago!

We highlighted my main driving concerns and Steve structured my lessons around these and in no time at all my confidence returned.

I have no hesitation in recommending Steve - even if you are not a complete beginner !!

Brighton driving lessons ticked all the boxes as far as I was concerned. The tuition was excellent and the instructor was friendly and professional, making sure learning to drive was the primary goal of each driving lesson as well as making every driving lesson a pleasurable as well as instructive experience. I can't recommend Steve and brightondrivinglessons.com enough, sure you won't find better in Brighton.

well what can i say he was alright.... only joking!! steve was a fantastic driving instructor i felt very calm and relaxed with him and in the end felt like i was in the car with a mate!I passed first time and i would definetaley recommend him, i already have and my friends are now learning with him!

If you want to learn to drive with an instructor who is reliable, friendly who makes you feel at ease with learning how to drive chose brighton driving lesson!!!
