The House of Rose and Brown Gallery and Vintage Boutique, Bradford

I enjoy visiting vintage shops and this one certainly is well placed in the centre of Saltaire village. I was disappointed by the stock at the time I visited and thought that the prices were high.The stock probably seems vintage to someone in their twenties because it featured stock from the 70's but I prefer stock much older from around the 30's and 40's which has a greater feel of quality.

I took my daughter shopping and she has a quite alternative taste - she was very very happy to stumble across this shop when we stopped for a bite to eat. It cost me more money as shed already spent her money but it was well worth it for the smile on her face. The shop sells really old fashioned clothes, accessories, bags and jewellery and shoes and drawings. They mustve been really good as my daughter was well impressed and is saving to go again. She bought a lovely antique style jacket of which i have never seen anyone wearing and she thinks it is fab. The quality is amazing and well worth the money. It is very dear but worth it. The shop smelt unusual but it was a nice unusual. The prices are quite steep and they only accept cash. The girl who was serving was very nice and friendly and kept telling my daughter how lovely her clothes were she had on (from cbgbs my daughter kept telling her). Very nice and unusual.

Absolutely my favourite shop in Yorkshire. Fabulous vintage clothing, jewellery, handbags and artwork. Dog-friendly! Take cash (no cards).
