Classic Wine and Beer, Cowley, Oxford

Now this is a MUST for any students new or on their way to oxford. The gem of this place is their ’’out of date’’ beer. What this usually means is that they have a beer a few weeks or months past dead, so they sell it all for a ridiculously cheap price. is it dangerous? No. Potent? yes. It seems that people get drunker faster when the beer is old :) its always been very popular with young people. I myself bought single med sized bottles of a range of odd beers here all for 44p each! you just cannot beat that.
as well as the out of date beers there is a fine selection of normal dated wines and brew - all still cheaper then most other mainstream places.
It is located on the cowley rd opposite the medic centre.

I remember classic wine and beer! We once bought a crate of past sell by date “Amsterdam Maximator” from this place. 9.1%. This is the kind of beer that puts hairs on your chest. Staff in here were always friendly and were never afraid to take you out back to examine the “really nasty” stuff.

My housemate claimed he once bought some 85% snake wine from here. I’m not sure i believe him though. Regardless, for all your frugal alcoholic needs….... this is the place to come.

Who cares if their beer is 6 months past its sell by date. Who cares if their cheapest beer has been banned in 36 states. ITS SOOO CHEAP.

The dodgy deli, is the best off licence in the world. The widest selection of beers from around the world for the cheapest prices. Looking to supply a party, just tell the guy who much you are looking to spend, and they will do you a deal, buying in bulk benefits them just as much as you.
