This pub is pleasant. And clean. And it’s open a later than other pubs in the area and you are probably less likely to get bottled. Although it isnt screaming out with character or atmosphere, and feels a bit generic.

Well known by locals as a pub to go to if you want great food. The White Hart is a spacious gastro pub on the main road in Kennington/Oval area. They don’t play music but they do show big sports games which doesn’t seem to fit the atmosphere they’re aiming for. Having said that, I could still get a seat during a 6 Nations match so I don’t think sport is what people go there for! White wine is served in coolers, and the Scrumpy was ice cold, as it should be. The food is reasonalby priced and really well presented. A good place to go for a civilised meal with friends, and there are plenty of rougher places nearby to carry on drinking after!
