A really friendly pub just off Upper Street. They serve food too and the chips are yum. They put on a good pub quiz every week too, i think it’s on the sunday but they may do it other nights too. A good pub quiz is no small feat either, because i’ve been to plenty of rubbish quizzes in my time, so when you find a good one you should stick with it. Plus they give good prizes.

Islington Tap is a lovely, spacious pub on Liverpool Road. It’s the pub to go to on a busy night when all you actually want is some relaxed, not over-crowded pub time. The ceilings are so high it keeps the place open and prevents anyone from feeling claustrophobic. I bought a small glass of Pinot Grigio which cost £3.45, so the prices are not cheap but as you would expect for this area. It has a wonderful atmosphere and seems to attract the arty types. I will always return to the Islington Tap first when I want to drink with my friends and actually be able to have my own space and hear what they are saying!
