Not bad sushi, love the wasabi beans. Last time I was there I had the Salmon Teriyaki and a couple of sushi things, was good but kind of like the Japanese Canteen in Holborn for the freshness; but good place and very large selection.
Let’s face it you know when the food is good when you see japanese people eating in the same restaurant.

Echoing Rob’s review, ‘fast’ and ‘fresh’ don’t typically go together in a takeaway restaurant review, but I think Wasabi breaks the mold. I went with sushi on the brain but was lured away by the cooked food section and stood indecisively between the two, blocking the pathway of hungry workers scrambling in off Victoria street for a not-so-brief moment before deciding I would have my cake and eat it too.
But only just… I opted for the Spicy Chicken which comes in a massive carton, and sampled a pc. of salmon & scallion sushi that was “au top” as my French comrades would say. So much more left to sample, and very reasonable prices for the quality and the speed!
I’ve since gone back to Wasabi and had the teriyaki beef which was not nearly as good as the sushi or spicy chicken. Back to sushi and sashimi for me here.

I have ALWAYS been a fan of the chicken curries in here. I’m not a fan of sushi, but i love the rice dishes at Wasabi. Quick, easy, friendly staff (most of the time) and delicious, lip smackingly tasty food. I just ate the signature chicken curry which was less than £5. The delicious smells wafted around my office and lots of jealous people stopped by and peered at the huge bucket of curry sat in front of me.
If you are after a fast, tasty japanense/asian lunch, this is the place to come to.

Never been sure about this chain of Japanese ‘fast sushi’ places. They’re not exactly authentic are they and the little individually wrapped pieces of sushi just don’t look very appetising. But having said all that…
...When someone at Qype HQ said they were going to take a walk out to the nearest branch this lunchtime I thought I’d give it a go and I’m glad I did. I plumped for the £6 sashimi/sushi box which is a tad pricey I guess but you do get four or five pieces of sushi plus four pieces of sashimi for that and it all tasted pretty fresh and not too ‘fishy’ (and lets’ face it, I wasn’t exactly expecting Nobu standards!)
And looking at the satisfied faces of my workmates right now I think this place might get some more positive reviews in the next few hours.
