Just around my corner with the best carvery available. Something for everyone and a huge selection of salads too . Their Christmas menu is commendable.

This is a decent pub in a more-than-decent area. The pub’s policy of intolerance to under-25s, foul language, anybody wearing hoods, baseball caps or not very much at all, or playing loud music from their car stereos in the summer ensures an idiot-free time for all.
Lots of proper ales on offer here (Adnams, Theakies) and the Sunday carvery is definitely worth a go. Pay a one-off fee of around £13 and you can eat as much as you fairly well like from the array of meats, roast veg and three kinds of gravy. The only caveat can be the queues, but if you get there after 2pm-ish you should be alright.
