If you read Charles Dickens, you would probably know about the Old Curiosity Shop, and you can clearly visualise his writing when you see this place. It’s likely one of the oldest, if not the oldest, shops in London given that its been here since the 16th century I believe.
Situated near the London School of Economics (LSE), I often pass by this place on the way home but it actually took me quite a while to take my first step in the place. It sells coats and shoes, though I don’t see many people buying stuff from the place.
While this is not a tourist spot (any more) given the modern office and LSE buildings surrounding it, it remains a good place to take a look at if you’re a Dickens fan.
