I know that these chain restaurants aren’t to everyone’s taste, but Pizza Express breaks the mould. It continues to offer high quality, freshly-cooked Italian pizza, and seems to have something for everyone.

This particular branch has a small patio out front, and a larger garden out the back, and inside is clean, fresh and bright feeling. My favourite thing, though, is the way you can see the kitchen. So you know where what you’re about to eat comes from.

And if you’ve never tried an American Hot with a soft egg, do give it a bash.
