Beachside pub and sports bar with American flair, lots of events, a nice happy hour and lots of expats. Get a Goldstar, sit outside, watch the beach.

The Mike’s Place is a good place to hear live music. I came there a few times in the past with a friend to have a beer and we had a nice conversation. However, when I came there to see a band - the place was full - and it was great. Drinks were coming in and also the food was good. They have a good pizza, Nachos and even a veggie burger. The food goes well with the beer, and the music is usually acoustic rock or a band performance.

Fun to be in, not more

Every wandering expat in Tel Aviv finds himself at 4am at Mike’s Place eventually. The bar, which is located on the boardwalk near the American embassy is THE expat bar in Tel Aviv.

At Mike’s, there’s always someone to talk to - don’t be afraid of going alone. Many wandering tourists find themselves here and they’re up for some chatter. The staff all speak English natively, but you’ll find many-a-nationality here when it comes to guests.

Tons of live music here from the local scene.
If you’re there, ask the bartender to try to convince Barry on stage. Barry’s the one sitting to your right with the long hair and the british accent. He’ll teach you how to do the blues.
