We met Tony and Chrystelle (Super Events) a year before our wedding and it became evident in our first meeting that they knew what they were doing and had successfully completed many weddings and also had worked with people we knew.
We left the first meeting feeling completely confident that they would design, build and deliver our perfect wedding, and they did just that and more.
Over the following 12 months, Tony and I met just a few times on and off site. The basics were put into place and my wife Emily liaised with Chrystelle. Any questions Emily had were immediately answered either by phone or on email – and there were quite a few as nerves before the big day grew closer!
Food and wine were always high on our priority list so the tasting evening was something we were looking forward to and will always be remembered! Super Events set up a mock wedding evening so we could see carpets, lighting, tables, chairs, music, waiters/waitresses, wines, entrées, mains, deserts… The evening was superb and we could see exactly what was going to be served and how. The whole evening was a run away success.
The communication leading upto our wedding was second to none. On the final few days before the wedding i was introduced to the main planning manager and chef. They consulted with me before erecting the main marquee, positioning of the toilets and food tent so there were no surprises.
Emily was reassured that she only needed to arrive, on time, at the wedding venue!
On the day, everything went perfectly to plan; The marquees were all up 2 days before hand, including all the tables, chairs, decorations, lighting and dance floor so the final few tweaks we added were the final touches and not a mad rush! Champagne was served at the reception venue for 50 in the grounds at Wadhurst Castle, whilst more champagne and canapés were being served at Haremere Hall as a further 50 guests were arriving for the wedding breakfast.
The service was next to none and you hardly noticed any of the staff; Polite, courteous and always smiling.
We were fortunate enough to have one of the hottest days of the year but the canapés were chilled and the wine cold. We were even given additional ice buckets for the champagne and white wine in the main marquee.
The wedding breakfast service was faultless for our 100 guests; fantastically quick, smooth and the entrees were chilled, the main hot and the desserts cold. All our guests raved about the taste, design and look of each dish. The wines were very good quality and as we opted for the bottomless bar, all our guests had their glasses topped up all day and all night!
The evening entertainment, Dire Fakes, had been liasing with Super Events so the setup was simple on the day; electrics all in place, lighting done and the sound was fantastic!
As the afternoon drew to a close and the evening guests arrived, a Hog Roast was served to about 150 + guests. It was piping hot, tasted devine with a choice of sauces and rolls and really hit the spot!
As the night closed, the basics were cleared away and we were left to bask in the knowledge that the biggest day so far in our lives had gone even better than we had ever imagined.
The following morning Super Events arrived, dismantled the marquees, cleared away any mess and all we were left with were the great memories and, a hangover!
I look forward to using Super Events again and would have no hesitation in recommending Tony and Chrystelle.

Our Wedding at Birling Manor catered and ‘run by’ Super Event – 8th October 2011
Our wedding day, even though we have to say it, was amazing, everybody since have said they loved it and the comments we got about how great the food was and the service they received from our caterers made us feel that we had absolutely made the right choice.
It is a difficult decision who to get to cater for a large group of people, all with different tastes and expectancies, especially on one of the most important days of your life, now I know you’ll never please everybody, but I think we actually managed it, and it was all down to Super Event.
They certainly lived up to their name in all aspects of the service we received from them, from beginning to end. With their no nonsense, no unnecessary frills approach they simply offer excellent service, excellent food, all at a very reasonable price.
Throughout the process Super Event have been easy to contact and nothing has appeared to have been too much effort. Tony and Chrystelle at the head office responded to each and every one of our many emails and phone calls and always provided the answers we needed.
The tasting sessions Super Events offer beforehand (free to the Bride and Groom with the option of paying for others to join) are fantastic and it is nice to be able to have the chance to taste the wide range the food and drink Super Event offer, also allowing options to mix and match to make the meal you want for your day. (We chose, Smoked Duck and Asparagus to start, for mains the Blade of Beef Bergerac, with Dauphinoise potatoes (Amazing, beef just melted in the mouth) and a Triple Delight Dessert (why have just one)
The day was planned by us and run without any problems by Super Events, with service over and above what we expected. Our venue (Birling Manor) is a blank canvas, their special selling point of enabling people to hire the venue for 4 days, enabled us to make it our own. You do have to hire the furniture (this is charged as extra as will only be needed for certain venues and Marquees) and a good catering company who can bring all their own appliances to create the meal, again Super Events do it all. The furniture arrived on the Thursday which enabled us to set the venue out how we wanted and Super Event staff came on the Friday to lay out the tables and allow us again to add our own finishing touches, it was all ready for us on the Friday to simply arrive on the Saturday and enjoy our day without worry. The only thing I have to say is maybe think about asking where Super Event park their refrigeration van, they seem to get free advertising in a lot of our photos, would have been nice if it had not in such a prominent position, just a little bit of hindsight.
Now I know cost is something (if not the main thing) people will want to know about, Super Events are by no way expensive, in fact for the quality and service we received we thought they were exceptional value for money, worth every penny, (with a range of options to suit every budget). Other caterers seemed only slightly cheaper, but always ask what are the hidden extras, staffing, linen, crockery and cutlery, glassware, most other caterers we approached seemed to add this on top of the food cost thus overall making them far more expensive, Super Events included everything and more, as Tony said, ‘how can you serve food with nothing to eat off or with.”
As our budget was quite tight we chose to provide our own food and drink for the evening festivities (with thanks to some locally sourced produce from Beachy Head Brewery and Frith and Little Deli, East Dean) Super Event staff stayed on to serve this, also running and providing the glassware for our free evening bar (to my huge gratitude again at no extra cost, I did have to check this…. Twice just to believe it).
Our special thanks go out to all the staff who made our day run so smoothly, especially Simon and Dee, nothing was too much trouble and our every whim and want was catered for (excuses the pun). We can’t rave enough about the service and quality of food, food is freshly prepared there and then and served hot, the drink was flowing and the overall service excellent, one of the comments from our guest was, ‘ it was like being at a 5* restaurant, but much more fun and relaxed”
Our thanks once again to all involved, we had a truly magical and wonderful time, we didn’t have to worry about a thing, except for enjoying every minute of our day……

We hired Super Events to manage our wedding having been highly recommended to use them by a number of close friends in the area. We had high expectations.
Super events did an outstanding job and the process gave us confidence from the beginning. The years of experience was very apparent and everyone we dealt with knew their role inside out. They get the right balance and give you piece of mind that everything is going to be all right without sounding laissez-faire.
The day itself ran like a dream. The set up, the staff and the overall management of the day was second to none. The staff had flexibility with our requests and genuinely seemed to enjoy themselves.
Super events were outstanding and I would have no hesitation in recommending them in the future and would be happy to discuss in person if so required

What can I say a super super company, from the date we started planning to the day the marquee went down, the whole team at super event were superb. It was lovely the fact that when you called you spoke to one person who didnt fob you off and put you on hold to find the answer to the question they new it straight away. They were there the whole way through the experience, with advice and a very friendly and sympatetic ear if you needed it. The marquee was stunning, and all the staff knew exactly what was happening and when and were friendly and chatty to all our guests. The food was amazing and so much of it, nobody could find fault with anything they had prepared and it was beautifully presented. I throughly enjoyed the whole experience of planning my wedding and thats thanks to superevent, any questions I had you were there, you made my dream wedding come true and both Michael and I cant thank you enough, we both want to do it again just so we can come to the taster evenings there great. I feel that although you were providing us a service that we also became friends we really are going to miss calling you up and having the site meetings with Tony it was all part of the fun of it. Superevent make everything fantastic and to perfection in everything they do, even the integrated toilets were superb. We hope to plan another party in the future and we will be seeing you again. In a word: Brilliant. We chose Super Event to cater our September 2011 wedding and are so glad that we did! The confidence we had in the company from the outset was invaluable during the months of wedding planning madness. On the day, the team exceeded their duties and made a huge effort to ensure that everyone was happy. We have used Super Event for 4 functions now.
In our experience, we have found them to be totally brilliant. Everything is beautifully organised – food absolutely delicious and we cannot recommend them highly enough.

We chose Super Event to handle the blessing of our son’s marriage and it was a very easy decision to make and one we haven’t regretted for a moment. The firm is delightful to deal with, the food on the day was splendid and much commented on and all arrangements worked perfectly. Our manager, Simon, was also great, ready with good advice but happy to accommodate our wishes and unobtrusively in command of the progress of the breakfast. His serving staff did their job excellently. This may seem an unrealistically positive review but it is fully justified.

Super Event provided the catering and event management for our wedding last weekend (Sat 3rd Sep 2011).
We would like to thank them first and foremost for such an amazing job, and would recommend them to everyone.
From 9 months or so ago when we first contacted them to the actual event day they were 100% proffesional, helpful, organised, friendly and reliable. Of particular note, Chrystelle was wonderful to deal with and Steve (event manager on the day) went above and beyond to ensure the day run as smoothly as possible and ensure all the guests had a good time. He also looked after us aswell ensuring that in the bubble of our wedding day we didnt miss out on canapes and champagne and even brought some over to us when we were having our photographs taken – it’s those special touches that make Super Event stand out.
Thank you all once again! We will be using you again in the future.

After a month to review, 5 stars are not enough, no 6 plus. Blessed with 6 children this was the the 4th and most complex to organise not, helped by being in the shadow of a recent central London extravagant cousin’s wedding. The site was a raised grass area the size of a large helicopter pad with a stunning view across Kent and only a hose pipe supply. It is relatively new new to weddings. In the planning stages both Tony Brewin and Chrystelle were brilliant with discussions, working well to a limited budget, open to ideas and changes for nearly 200 guests. The setup team were A1 professional in spite of some earlier heavy rain making access challenging; the clear up team were immediate and faultless. The food was 6* and on budget. The day was masterminded behind the scenes by Steve, so much so that I was able to actually relax and enjoy the day. My wife and I cant do more than highly recommend the Super Event team

Last weekend, we entrusted our daughter Camilla’s wedding to Super Event Ltd – they were fantastic!! It is no exaggeration to say that nothing was too much trouble. Their professionalism and attention to detail was superb.
We had a marquee at Birling Manor (East Dean, near Eastbourne) and after canapes we gave our 111 guests a three course Wedding Breakfast. In the evening more guests arrived and we arranged for supper at 8 pm and 10 pm. The food was amazing!
Our event manager Stephen made life so easy and the whole occasion went without a hitch.
We have had a string of phone calls from family and friends complimenting us on every aspect of the Wedding.
I can only say a huge “Thank You” to Super Event – you helped us so much, and we all enjoyed a really fabulous Wedding.

Can`t recommend Super Event highly enough,they really do take the stress away. At our initial meeing Tony said they would take care of everthing and they did. we could just relax and enjoy ourselves. The food was suberb, Staff very helpfull and it was even better knowing that everything was cleared up the next day. Will definatley be using them again as soon as i can think up an excuse to have another party!!

I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone at Superevents for helping us have the most amazing wedding! Was a pleasure working with you all from start to finish and we were so pleased with the marquee, the food and all your staff. Although my parents don’t have a massive garden it meant a lot to us to have the wedding reception at home so thank you for helping make that possible. We had a brilliant day at the tastings, is such a great way of trying all the food and seeing how it would all be presented as well as seeing all the fixtures and fittings available in the marque. The setting up of the marquee and all the staff involved over the weekend was brilliant, they made everything so easy for us and were so helpful and accomadating. Simon was brilliant the day before and on the day making sure everything went smoothly and so attentive to any requests we had. The marquee looked great with the starllit ceiling, chandeliers and uplighters we were thrilled with it! We had so many comments on the food, everyone thought it was amazing, us included, the triple dessert went down especially well! And to think it all came out so beautifully presented from the garage at the back of the house in a cramped space makes it even more incredible. We had the most fantastic wedding day we will remember for ever, thank you to Tony, Simon, yourself and everyone else involved for all your help.

Anita and I took a short vacation after the wedding to spend a little more time with friends and family who had come from overseas to join the celebrations. We are back home now, but still riding high on a cloud of euphoria, fuelled by the lovely photos we have, because of how perfect everything was on that special day. Well, back to the perfect day. Actually, we should go back a few days. Our new ‘outlaws’, the Marfleets were impressed with the marquee riggers (who picked a good day between two rainy ones). They were courteous, efficient and careful to look out for the Marfleet’s house and gardens. A bouquet for the riggers, please.
I met Chris and Emma on the Friday, and they could not have been more co-operative and helpful. What a sterling job those two did over the next few days, and what incredibly long hours they put in. Nothing was too much trouble, and they proved to be flexible, organised and capable managers of the event. Their communication with me was clear and timely, and the little extras (like the service of the wedding ‘cheese’ cake) were handled willingly and well. They obviously briefed their team well, because we had so many positive comments about how unobtrusive and efficient the service team were, not to mention personable, smiling and courteous. I had a few comments from some of the guests with dietary requirements, who were made to feel quite special and enjoyed the recognition. The team behind the bar came in for a lot of praise for their personality, helpfulness and efficiency. As far as I was concerned, as the father of the bride, I was delighted to sit back and let everything we had planned unfold, and I had no concerns at all that things were going well. So, a big bouquet to the very professional service team, and especially to Chris and Emma.
The SuperLoos were a big hit. Several people told Anita that each time they visited, the loos looked as if they had just been cleaned.
By the way, we had a few wine buffs in the room, including the country manager for China for Brown Brothers, and several national and international hoteliers and restaurateurs, many of whom made a point of coming over to say good things about the wines, and especially the Bordeaux.
Now to the food. I was a bit busy during the reception and didn’t get to see all the canapés. I did have a few of the mini-fish and chips (a great hit, especially with the Yorkshire folk), but I heard good things from a number of the guests about the other selections. Because we had our speeches at the end of the champagne reception in the gardens, our timing into the marquee was a bit off, but fortunately it was a cold starter, that looked and tasted good. I particularly liked the smoked trout. The lamb shank came in for a lot of praise, and I would say that the quality, taste and ‘doneness’, were even better that when we tried it at the food tasting, The vegetarians were also happy with the tagine. What really impressed everyone was how perfectly the vegetables had been cooked – still al dente, fresh and with lots of colour. Dessert was also a wow. It looked good (see photo at http://www.howlingbasset.com/mywedding/shelleyandjimmy.html) and tasted great. So a bouquet to Ken and his team for delivering a memorable menu.
So I feel that I should make the bouquet a little more tangible. Tony, you told me that in January you will have a party for the entire Super Event family, and I would like to make a contribution to this event. To this end I have transferred monies to your account.
I have mentioned the name of Super Event in over 600 emails I have sent out with details of the official photographs. I will continue to sing your praises, and would not hesitate to recommend you for any quality event. I am so thankful that we took the decision to go for a one-stop-shop.

We are all delighted that you are all pleased. Needless to say, that’s our target happy customers. A fabulous family to work with, no problems, no hassle, just a great event. A dream customer for us is one who tells us what they want, is prepared to accept professional advice here and there, (I might add, not that much was required!) and then let us get on and do the job. I think it’s fair to say, that’s exactly what happened. I think all our staff enjoyed working on the event as much as your guests enjoyed it. As you might imagine in my line of work (eighteen years or more Super Event, say one hundred/one hundred twenty events each year) we have worked with lots and lots of very nice people. If I had to say “The nicest” customer we have every year, as you might imagine that would be “politically very difficult and sensitive.” However, I quickly add that “The Longworth’s”….would be very high up there, very high up there indeed!! Mr Longworth, you are certainly “a family” of the very, very nicest people we have ever had the pleasure of working with. This much is clear, and you will all be long remembered! (No pun intended!) I think it’s fair to say we both enjoyed the benefit of each other’s absolute trust and confidence, and that greatly contributed to a great event. Does it get any better I ask myself?…..….probably not.

We used Super Events to deliver our marquee wedding on 9th July 2011.
The event took place in the bride’s parents back garden and Tony and the team truly delivered beyond expectation in the lead up to and on the day itself. We couldn’t have asked for our day to go any more smoothly and we would have no hesitation in recommending Super Events to future couples.
Tony and Chrystelle deliver great customer service, ensuring as customers you feel reassured that the day is going to go to plan. Any adhoc requests whether that be to do with the layout of the marquee, food or presentation are dealt with efficiently and with patience! Leaving you with a feeling that everything will be ‘alright on the night’.
On the day itself Lorraine headed up the team, whilst Rob was our chef. Lorraine worked perfectly behind the scenes with our toastmaster to ensure everything ran on time and that our guests were well looked after.
We received so many complimentary comments on the food Super Events created. We made up our own menu for our 3 course meal and Rob created this with some lovely special but subtle touches. Simply put – the food was delicious. At the start of the day the canapes came thick and fast to our hungry guests and we have had so much feedback on how wonderful and tasty they were.
We can’t thank Tony, Chrystelle, Lorraine, Rob and their staff enough for being a big part of making our day so special.

Superevent absolutly made out wedding day on June 18th 2011. Unfortunatly the weather was not on our side but superevent came up trumps to battle the amount of unforseen rain we had.
Everything fell together in place on the day and absolute smooth running of whole wedding from canapes right to the end could not have been more professional. The food was absolutly outstanding and have had such positive comments from all our guests – they loved it!
The organising right from the start through Chrystelle and Tony could not have been any more thorough. They were both very helpful, responsive and could not praise them more.
If we have any further events in the future I will not hesitate to contact them or recommend to family and friends.

It all came good, (despite the weather) the wine flowed, great people, great food makes for a great event. Everyone seemed to be buzzing, having a great time. Dear Chrystelle and Tony
We needed to write and say thank you.
Thank you for making our Wedding Day at Cowdray Ruins, Midhurst, Sussex so perfect.
Really to go as far to say perfect is a very big thing.
Both Sasha and i work in the Hospitality industry, i studied it at Univeristy, I have worked for some of Europe's best Hotels, I worked for a major Hospitality and Leisure Consulting Business and have had a Service sector business of my own for the past 12 years. As such our decision to go with SuperEvent across the board - marquee, food & drinks was a decision based on intense scrutiny.
I can only say our decision to go with you was 100% vindicated.
I know we were very careful, often precious in our planning. We wanted the day to be an occasion we could switch off and not only did you make us feel special in the lead up, empathising and providing for the requests we made of you, but you never once said 'No we can't do that'. This meant a lot.
From the day we met you at the tasting we KNEW we'd picked the right company to execute our day and from that point forward we honestly never gave it a second thought. As for Steven, Ken and the team on the day itself. FIRST CLASS - what a fantastic group. So great seeing the front line team backing up everything the sales/executive/organisation team were saying. They deserve huge credit.
I can't begin to thank you enough for making it happen in the way it did but i will happily act as a referee should anyone want to discuss what we went through from beginning to end.
You have a great business and I wish you all the best. You deserve it!

Wow....what can I say in response to such a great review, other than thank you both so very much. Our target is to “make it all better than you expect” in sales talk I guess this means "Exceed client expectations” I have said this many many times before on this review site but, working with nice people really makes the job very easy. A class client for us is one (Or should I say two?) who tells us what they want (In your case very precisely) takes a spot of professional advice here and there and then let us get on and do it. I think it’s pretty fair to say that’s exactly what happened. All of us throughout the journey getting on great together, trusting and having faith in each other. Does it get any better or any easier I ask myself?
Cap that off with a bunch of nice people, throw in a good deal of great food, & wine, a good amount of (What I think are) great staff, and this all makes for a great great Wedding day!

Liam and my daughter Briony's wedding was everything they wished for. I was so glad that we had chosen SuperEvent to provide catering for both the lunchtime reception and evening party leaving me free to enjoy the wedding without worrying about the organisation on the day.
From the first moment I made an enquiry all queries and concerns were promptly answered and resolved. The 'tasting' event was amazing and was a brilliant way of making us feel comfortable that Superevent were more than capable of providing the catering for the wedding. On the day the staff were efficient but discreet. Catering for coeliacs and veggies was no problem and all had their dishes delivered correctly to them. The food was delicious and the outstanding quality was remarked on by the guests.
We had canapes followed by 2 courses. The evening hog roast was delicious but some of us struggled with a full portion as the reception portions had been so generous. The cake was made by the groom and on a last minute request the chef kindly added the floral decorations to it. SuperEvent were an integral and major part of making the day a joyous , relaxed and happy occasion for everyone.

We were so pleased with everything superevents did for our wedding. it was 100 times better then we were expecting. From the beggining they have all been excellent. The Office staff were very helpful with organising everything and answering any queries we had. Also we were able to meet with our catering team the day before the wedding and set everything up. This was great as we were able to go through all of the little details that we wanted for the day. When it came to the actual day it was perfect. Everything run so smoothly, we did not have to think or worry about anything. the canapes were superb and the meal it self was fantastic. All of our guest have commented on have great the food and service was.

Superevents provided a truly wonderful evening for our 30th wedding anniversary. Every member of their staff was fantastic, polite, helpful, efficient and friendly.
All of our guests were very impressed and would recommend Superevents to anyone. Tom, Chris, Karen and all the staff are a credit to the company. The food was amazing, and we just cannot say enough good things. Thank you so much.

Tony Brewin Many, many thanks for being kind enough to undertake this review process. It’s good for us to hear directly from our customers exactly what they think of us. It’s also very good for prospective customer seeking to identify what our past customers think about us. A prospective customer, quite naturally, involved in a high budget event want assurances about our track record, and wants to be confident we know what we are doing. I’m sure you know what I mean. The whole process now seems to be gathering pace with a great number of positive reviews thirty-eight to include your own review. All of them, every single one of them, 5 star reviews. Needless to say (But I will!!!) all of us are delighted. Does it get any better than 100% five star reviews? It seems we must be doing something right! I hope any new customers get some satisfaction and confidence from what are "Comments direct from our real customers” without any input and or interference from us. Real testimonials, from real people, not fictitious scrawlings that almost any firm can place on their web site.
I think this will prove to be a great forum, for real customer reviews (Not invented testimonials) to write "real reviews of real value" that can only be helpful to anyone considering Super Event Limited for any event they may wish to organise.
