So… cakes on castro… yeah… pretty much not the tastiest things ever…. EXCEPT… the poppy seed cake….. I have come in more than once, and left heart broken and defeated to find out that they were out of it. Ouch, You know where that ouch comes from… it comes from the empty pit in my stomach where a slice of poppy cake should be silently digesting and releasing its delicious fats in to my blood stream to eventually clog my arteries which will result in a major heart attack.

Massive cheesecake.

There is a famous chain of cheesecake restaurants around these parts, but the cheesecake on offer at this little café/cake shop is far superior. If I were to give you one piece of advice it would be: come hungry.

Seriously you won’t believe how big these cheesecake slices are. One is easily big enough for two people. I never finished a slice in one sitting by myself! I always used to get it boxed up and then finish it over the next few days…

It’s actually the best cheesecake I’ve ever had.
