it looked nice but they’d just sold their last lobster so I didn’t stay. unfortunately. the staff understood the problem. must go back earlier in the day. there’s a moral to this tale…

One of the coolest restaurants in London in my opinion. It is very unusual in design and interior, and most importantly the food is just amazing…The only downside is waiting forever for your booked table (we waited for nearly 40mins) and also rather busy atmosphere of people queuing outside and all over the place, waiting to be seated…Not cheapest either, but once you actually are sitting, it’s great. However don’t go if you are not (heaven forbid, we live in 21st century!!) gay friendly, as even the staff are gay…

Randall & Aubin is one of London ’s hippest eateries. Tucked away in the bustling heart of the West End , Randall and Aubin Soho skips to a beat of its own. Fresh seafood, rotisserie cooked meats and a vast a la carte menu, coupled with a truly international wine selection attracts a clientele even more diverse. No bookings required for the informal, relaxed atmosphere of Randall and Aubin Soho.

If you want to eat expensive seafood & steak surrounded by a glitterball, disco house and in the heart of London’s gay scene then you’re in luck.
Randall & Aubin’s is an expensive restaurant on Brewer Street, just down from Mdme Jo Jos. There’s often a queue but I don’t think you can book ahead. Seating is stools and tall tables/bars, you’re unlikely to get on a real table if there are only two of you.
Service can be a bit snooty, but the overall fabulous disco experience kind of makes up for it. The menu includes lunchtime baguettes filled with chicken or steak or similar, lobster and fries, various seafood elements (they have a fresh counter), amazing herbed rotiserrie chicken which is very melt in the mouth and various steaks. Mains are around £12 and I’ve never had a bad meal. I’d really like to try their lunchtime baguettes though.
