Very unusual experience, I’ve been going there for 5 years and never has a bad haircut. The staff always listen. Must have had a bad hair day ;)

Brilliant service, the staff all seem really dedicated. They take their time and have great attention to detail. I've been a couple of times and they take at least an hour to cut my hair and never make you feel rushed. This is a better service than I've received paying three times as much. They even spend a long time on mens hair making sure its exactly what they want. So glad I found this place, its a gem in the middle of an expensive area, so affordable but they don't cut back on the service. My new local hair dresser!! :)

The nicest people and best experience ever. I have used other local salons and have been disappointed, not only by the hair cut but by the price. Highbury and Islington hairdressers are ridiculously highly priced.
The Hair Machine (the name does not give it justice, especially as it's next to Highbury Magistrates Court) is well priced, with highly experienced pleasant staff who know what they are doing.

Following on from my comment earlier and echoing other people's comments, these people listing to what you want and know how to cut hair. The prices are affordable because they don't have pretentious displays, they don't massage your head, and they don't have Upper Street rents to pay.
If you want to be pampered save your money and go to a health spa, if you want a great haircut without Upper Street's ridiculous prices give this a go.
I would recommend this hairdressers to everyone.

I would not recommend this hairdressers to my worst enemy. Yes it may be affordable, but it is quite obvious why that is. I had the worst hairdressing experience of my life here, really really bad haircut, the hairdresser did not listen to what i wanted and gave me a haircut that was quite the opposite of what i wanted. Horrible experience. Thank god my hair grows fast and its the season of hats….if i were you i would pay a little more and visit a more professional salon.

The service at the Hair Machine in Highbury is marvelous. I am a male customer and don't like the fluff that many salons display. I really don't need a scalp massage! Which is lucky, because the hair dressers here spend this extra time cutting my hair. In fact they will often spend more than an hour if I'm not in a rush. The stylist are perfectionist, and while I'm not, my girlfriend, and her friends really notice the difference. For £15 I'm receiving excellent value at Hair Machine, and even though I have moved around over the years, I will travel to across London to Highbury to receive the care, attention, and genuine enthusiasm from the people at Hair Machine.
