I love it in there!! Levenshulme Antiques Village truely is Manchester's best ket secret.
Great people/characters , good food and interesting items for sale. Plenty of parking. I've had bought many an item there over the years as well as had furniture expertly repaired and restored.
People need to check out the units in the yard to the back of the building. Some traditional trademen with skills and stuff for sale to match.
Don't know why people buy that crappy flat pack furniture that never lasts, when they can buy beautiful solid old furniture that will stand the test of time, for less money too.
Definitely one of the things that decided us on living in Levenshulme was proximity to the Antiques Village. There are fewer better ways to while away a Sunday - or any day - than browsing around inside this lovely building.
Rick's Place downstairs always has something worth discovering, and a lovely, chatty owner as well.
Then, there are rooms and rooms of furniture from the ancient to the modern, and prices from a few pounds to... lots of pounds!
On the first floor there is our favourite - a massive room filled with everything and anything - books, curios, pottery, postcards, furniture, games, jewelery... You really don't know what you might find in a box or a cabinet. We spend far too long in there, and you can pick up something fun for a few pence if you look hard enough - and I maybe shouldn't say this, but from time to time we've been told we can just have some oddment we've discovered! The prices are always reasonable and often open to negotiation. You cannot go in there and come out empty handed.
One of tbhe jewels of Levenshulme, if not of Manchester.

One of things I love about living in Levenshulme is looking round the Antiques Village on a Sunday afternoon. There are three floors of pre-war furniture, household objects, chandeliers, toys, medals, vintage jewellery and other collectibles. Over the years I’ve noticed the prices going up a little but it’s still great value for money.
The last time I went I came away with a beautiful vintage sewing box that I found amongst various ornaments and bric-á-brac.
In the basement you’ll find a café which does a mean weekend breakfast and serves good food throughout the day. The building itself is also noteworthy. Built in 1898, it was originally the Town Hall. The original mouldings and green tiles are still existence.
The Antiques Village is a five minute walk from Levenshulme Station and a ten minute drive from Manchester City Centre.
