i went for my sisters birthday, the food was great but the service was appauling!!!! it ruined the whole evening as an incident occurred and the staff where aggressive, rude and ignorant! the service is also very slow so if you have an hour to wait for food then try here!

Tirano is the new face of 52 Lark Lane, one of the busiest and most bohemian Lanes in Liverpool. Owned by Liverpool player Daniel Aggar, its reputation is a good one. Arranged over two floors, the restaurant has been nicely redesigned since the footie player took over and it looks really nicely laid out particularly around the bar area. It’s always quite packed both inside and out which to me signifies a decent place, either that or Aggar is bribing his team mates and their WAGS to go there!

I’ve eaten here twice since it became Tirano and have enjoyed the experience both times. You can pretty much spend as little or as much as you like. Wine prices range from £12 for the house white to £180 for a bottle of Krug. Food is a mix of Italian and Spanish with plenty of pizza, pasta, fish and meat dishes to choose from. Expect to pay around £15-£20 for a main course. As per usual I went for the chicken which was cooked to perfection. Side dishes are reasonably priced at around £2.50 to £3.00 each.

The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly. You never feel rushed and I get the impression they would rather turn someone away than hurry you up.

It does stick in my throat somewhat to recommend, or even eat in this place given that I’m a die hard blue, but in all honesty it is good and well worth a visit. Particularly nice for a romantic meal for two and handy for me since it’s about 5 minutes walk from my home.

Thoroughly enjoyable night from the food to the service and drinks. Piano player added to the atmosphere. Seeing Dan Agger and Billy Butler just topped it off. Fantastic!!
