I have ordered food from here for many years, my favorite being crispy duck. tonight I ordered crispy duck, chicken in lemon sauce with pineapple and chips……..the chicken wasn’t too bad but the duck was disgusting, dry, tasteless, like it was a week old, the worst I have EVER had. I returned it and the owner phones me back to say it was UNDERCOOKED!!!!!! But she thought it was perfectly acceptable and suggested that I didn’t know how crispy duck was supposed to taste…..what an insult, I’ve been buying it from there for years, I know what it used to taste like but the pathetic excuse for food that they served up and called food tonight was a disgrace……….I will never ever ever use this restaurant again, even the chips were rubbish and when the management say ’we’ll give you a refund but the food is fine’……yeah right, who do you think you’re kidding? I will take every opportunity to tell every one I know to avoid the same shocking experience that I had tonight, and I’ve been a loyal customer for many years……but never again! China Kitchen……………get your act together!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I eat at a lot of Chinese places and having lived at the end of Cowley Road for a while I decided to explore the options. China Kitchen did not disappoint and though there was another closer to me, it ended up becoming my favourite.

It is a takeaway-only place so the service is fast and the food is good value for money. There is a reasonable amount of parking off the road (which is rare enough in oxford) and the food is of decent quality for a takeaway.

Good food, good service and tasty!!! One of the better take-away around the Cowley area.

Chinese food is a big passion of mine - both eating and cooking and i hardly ever find a take away which is as good as restaurant food or my Chinese friends home cooking!
But this take away is AMAZING. possibly my favourite Chinese take away.
Every time i have ordered from here my food has been not warm, but hot. Lovely and hot. Not too greasy and runny either.

My favourite dishes from here are the very meaty ribs, the crispy seaweed and the duck rolls. I also love the oyster sauce and their beef is very tender.

You can go and collect your food (phone the order through first), or they will do home delivery. They are very clear and helpful over the phone.

I definitely recommend this take away!
