Liquid Nightclub, Windsor

Ok to begin with, got there nice and early on new years eve but got turned away since i had a t-shirt on and the dress code was smart. (fair enough) so i drove back home, (20 mins drive either way) now I queued up outside for 30 mins only to be turned away again since I didn’t have an “online ticket” on the website it clearly stated £15 on doors, and the bouncer like a typical chav turned us away again and said come back after midnight!

I could not believe what was happening and thought to myself this better be worth it.

We came back at 12 only to miss the countdown to 2012 and we eventually got in to realise the club was overpacked and majority of people were miserable!

We left within an hour of entry. check out Mantra or manilla in windsor. liquids just aint worth the hassle.

I wouldn't recommend this club to anyone, except perhaps horny 16 year old boys.
Im only 20 and I felt like I'd gate crashed a school disco.
There were 15/16 year old girls and boys comparing their fake driving licences/stolen passports in the que and the bouncers paid NO notice..

To make matters worse- A young man was attacked and had his neck cut in the mens toilets that night, what if that had been a 15 year old girl?

Never going back, ever.

My friend and I went on Saturday and had the best night out in years! Unfortunately just visiting otherwise i'd be in here a lot more but I'd reccomend it to just about anyone. They have 3 rooms, we had VIP access which was great cos I must admit the queues at the main room bars were huge.

The place is clean too which makes a change for nearly all big nightclubs.

Spent most of the night in the main room as every time we tried to leave the DJ dropped another great tune and we went straight back to the dancefloor! None of your cliche chavvy rubbish that seems to playing in every club in the country, we heard cool remixes of new tunes mixed with loads of classic songs too, really entertaining. That's what it's meant to be about isn't it?

To be honest the drinks were a bit over-priced and the trek up about 6 flights of stairs in really high shoes left me and my friend sore (we didn't realise there were lifts until we got to the top DOH)!

A few of the punters were a bit young too but i guess they have to go somewhere dont they :) nice people though.....but visiting Windsor when you live in Sunderland i'd hope so, lol

I am really suprised that no one has reviewed Liquid in Windsor before as it is always rammed full of people!
I used to go here a lot when i was a recent school leaver / early uni student - and i don’t even think i was a big fan back then. However, i still go occasionally. I have to admit though, the only resaeon i continue to come here is because there really is not much else on offer in windsor.
Liquid consists mainly of one big room where standing space circles around the circle dance floor. There are a couple of podiums where they occasionally have pro dancers (mmmm i wonder if pro is the word?lol) but on other occasions you get to dance around on them too. Oh, the fun. There are two main bars in this room and honest to god you will que forever if you do not fight to the front. Once at the front i usually buy a fair few drinks to keep me going all nite! you could waste your whole nite in there queuing at the bar. Not kidding.
Next to this main room is a VIP type room which is hardly VIP. its got a few sofas and a little bar… nothing special.
Ive seen some very minor celebs in here such a sex eastenders characters who think they are the beed knees but thats about it. The music is repetitive. The people in here are literally just turned 18. slightly…er…chavy. sorry to anyone who goes here.

Maybe im just hard to please as my sister loves it here and comes 2 or 3 times a week… but then maybe she is just easily pleased!!

If you are going here get ready for a lot of queuing and to leave with an empty wallet either due to the expensive drinks or someone nicking it.)
