Surely one of the top drives in the world - take a picnic and stop just after the toll booths at the Hout Bay end to make it more of a day out!

I cycled up here at night and the views are just as epic.

Spectacular drive, travel south to north for best views. You get almost an aerial view of Hout Bay, well worth a visit for the seafood restaurants alone.

Just a warning to not leave car windows open when you stop to admire the view. No sandwiches of crisps in hand either as you will soon lose them to the baboons. I am going to attach a few photo’s of the views … and the baboons :-)

Great views and scenery, no good if you suffer with vertigo but great sights and outlook on Kistenbosch, and cape town

Probably the most spectacular ocean drive in Africa. If you’re visiting Cape Town, this should be as high a priority as Table Mountain and the Cape of Good Hope. Breathtaking views and lots of places to stop and picnic.

Strangely enough, this place is even more impressive since the man made work thats been done to the road.

Chapmans’s peak is a must for any visitor to cape town. the sweeping road, that defeys gravity by clinging to the cliff, and at some parts cutting through the cliff. Not for the nervous driver though.

Due to the fires that destoryed the area a few years back, the peak is now only open at certain times, and you have to pay a small fee to use the road. but in realit this is a good thing as it limits the amount of cars on the road
