I did start to buy my pinhead oatmeal from Greenlife in 500gram bags then asked if they could purchase it for me in larger bags which they could and it would be in a 5KG bag.

I ordered one bag and asked them to ring me when it had arrived in and I would go and pick it up. I did get the phone call and I went to pick it up (car journey from Torquay to Totnes)  and it cost me £5.36 for the 5kg bag of pinhead oatmeal.

Three months later I ordered another one exactly the same, got the phone call went to pick it up and it was £6.79 OK  I thought things go up.

six weeks ago I ordered again the same product, got the phone call , went to pick it up and it was £9.87

I asked the man at the store to check the price as I thought they had got it wrong,the man came back and said that was the price, so it had gone up 50% in six months. (he just stood there holding the bag, like what do you want me to do about it, no sorry ,no nothing)

I did take it as I had ordered it but was most annoyed that they did not give me a call ,to say the item has gone up so much and inquire if I still wanted to order it.

I  now  buy my pinhead oatmeal on line for about £1.00 a kg and free delivery .

Shame really, because I do like to buy local ,but not on this occasion and will buy all future pulses etc from the same company.

I am one customer you have now lost.

Greenlife has now opened a bigger & better store right next to the market square in Totnes.
It is easier to find the products you need as we have many more shelves and display areas .. and ALL our staff are trained to give Customers help and advice whilst shopping with us.

Call in when passing and take a look .. you will be amazed at what we have in store!

Great choice of 'happy' food - everything is natural, eco-friendly and vegetarian or vegan. As well as food, they sell cosmetics (all 'friendly' to animals), fresh fruit and veg and homeopath remedies. The staff are friendly, helpful and well-informed. The only problem with the shop is the width of the aisles - not easy to manoevre round with a buggy. So why put the baby food at the back of the shop? NOTE The shop is in the process of moving up to the Market Square (should open March 2010)

Service is the key here. Well informed, friendly staff
