Taste of Christmas

I am sooo glad I never paid for mine and my husbands tickets to this event, as it was I was disapointed that we’d even paid for train tickets to get there! We went on the Sunday and the best bit was seeing the people queuing outside for the Britains Got Talent auditions that were in a different part of the building and totally unconnected to the Taste of Christmas event!
I just couldn’t believe that an event like this could be so unchristmassy! There were mainly booze stands there, some of which gave out little free tasters. I found some of the stalls prices for products were dearer to buy there than if you went to the supermarket which kind of defeats the object surely? Why do they assume that people want to pay almost £20 for a ticket to then buy a product from them thats more expensive than they could get for going to a supermarket for free! Didn’t get to watch any of the demonstrations by the chefs as the queues were far too long. Left empty handed , not at all Christmassy and starving hungry as the prices to eat there were ridiculous. Bah Humbug!

went to the taste of christmas on the saturday. we had a wonderful time sampleing all the cheeses and drinks , there was one stall that had fresh turkey and it taste so good . had a very difficult time choosing want to bring home.

Taste of Christmas is on again this year from 3rd-5th December at the Excel centre.
Tickets start from £19.00 per adult and include access to live cooking shows, restaurant and cooking stalls.
To buy specific foods there is a system of purchasing crowns, or tokens to taste the food items.
