The old town of Jerusalem is divided into three districts, basically one for each religion, and I didn’t feel any tension, although the police are watching over you.
Walk through all the little winding roads, and up the steps which are all over the place. Go and see the different holy sites which are located there. When you do, don’t forget that you have to wear the proper clothing (no short sleeves, or bare shoulders, skull-caps are provided if required).
