Drive through mango orchards to find de Brueys Boutique Wines, a farm and vineyard where you can taste and purchase exotic tropical fruit wines. Wines include mango, lychee, jaboticaba, passionfruit and bush cherry. They make port and cream liquers as well.

We were driving on our own, but were welcomed by the winemaker himself, Bob de Brueys. He finished with a tour group and then let us sample the wines (there’s a $3 charge for this, but it’s waived if you buy something). He was a really friendly guy, and loves the delicate, unusual fruit wines he makes. The jabotica wine and mixed-fruit port were our faves, and we bought bottles of each.

Bob is expanding, creating a function hall for events, and lots of landscaping (ponds and gazebos) to attract those who fancy getting married in an outdoor setting.
