Chapter Bar is the place for great beer. Erdinger, chimay or duvel are my favourites. There’s always lots of strange but interesting art going on. At the moment Chapter it’s undergoing a massive refurb so the bar’s been move to a strange space and theres nowhere to drink outside when the weathers nice, so thats kind of pants but it will be all finished in about 6 months so i look forward to that. There’s also a German beer festival in October and May and there’s one at christmas this year and they’re always good.

Chapter Arts centre is where most people go to watch a black and white French movie with subtitles so they can look all “arty” and feel good about themselves, but the two cinema screens also offers some of the latest films as well at the foreign, obscure cutting edge films. This venue also offers an exhibition gallery, which is interesting and a pleasurable experience on a rainy day! Also the art centre has a very impressive theatre room where many different drama companies perform all different sort of plays. It’s fairly priced and offers a totally different atmosphere to any other modern cinema.
