There are planty of canal cruises on offer in Amsterdam and while I cannot compare, having taken only one, I can recommend this one. It has three different routes colour coded red, green and blue and each stops at different tourist attractions. The cruise is great, especially in bad weather and with a loved one to cuddle up to, but I wouldn’t recommend it as a means of transport as it is very, very slow!
