I call it the Flying Chair. Every time I've been in there's been a fight (no, it wasn't me!) as it's currently a favourite for the particularly youthful type of drinkers who can't handle a few pints without getting a rage on.

The beer is Thwaites.

In essence, bring a hard hat and a hard stomach. It's ok for a change of scene on night out, just be ready to find a good safe corner!

This is quite a grotty pub decor wise, however it is friendly and the beer is well kept. recently it has been reopened with new management. they have revitalised the pub somewhat with more events.

I feel comfortable coming here as an individual woman. their coffee is nice, not to suggest that is all I drink.

there is a pool table, and darts board. Football matches are shown on a regular basis. I felt that you need to into go into training to get to the loos. they're about half a mile away up and down stairs!!
