I eat a lot of lunches and this is the best lunch I have ever had in London. The food was outstanding. And probably mid to expensive of the range but wonderful. Service very discreet. Decor a bit early 90s. Location a bit of a schlep from town. But wonderful wonderful food. Incredible.

Food and service is excellent the only feature that completely ruins an otherwise excellent evening is the very noisy Jaz band which is a Sunday feature.
This place is up there with the best restaurants in the UK.
The staff are very attentive without being overbearing. The food is tasty without being pretentious and the surroundings have a classical feel to them.

Its amazing also that the owner of the place welcomes you if he hasnt seen you there before.

If you are a chip connoisseur get yourself here shortish, this place has arguably the best chips in London fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside – bliss… remember to ask for the hollandaise sauce to dip them in. This restaurant has been serving up reliable and honest food for years and is still going strong. The design means that every table feels more private than at most places so it is ideal for a date or a special occasion. Service is excellent and friendly without being over bearing, every time I have visited I have had a member of staff sitting with me by the end after much coercion from me. I would like to recommend other things on the menu but I always opt for steak and chips and cant bring myself to stray, I have it on good advice that other dishes are equally good. Go on treat your other half and take them here, just as long as you don’t forget the hollandaise sauce!
