1 review of Sheffield Town Hall in English
SHEFFIELD TOWN HALL, the headquarters of local government. Officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Victoria.
There used to be a statue of Queen Victoria stood facing the main entrance of the Town Hall, but for reasons I'm unsure of the statue was removed and can now be seen in Endcliffe Park at Hunters Bar, Sheffield.
Sheffield Town Hall is an imposing and somewhat impressive building located at the junction of Fargate, Surrey Street, Leopold Street and Barkers Pool, in the heart of the city centre.
The Lord Mayor of Sheffield has his office within the Town Hall and so are the chambers of Sheffield City Council.
Not all the departments of the Council are in the Town Hall, most can be found at Union House, on Union Street.
If you write, asking for permission, you can be shown around the Town Hall by a guide I believe.
