You sound like a right no-necked bellend with a chip on your shoulder so big it dwarfs your undoubtedly tiny penis. I haven’t even been to this gym but judging by reviews about dickish staff and the fact that cunts like this attend, I won’t be joining this shitheap. Big muscles, tiny peon brain, do one.

I am very sorry; review will be long, because this gym is a big PAIN!!Just read through all the negative reviews. All these people are 100% right!! When I joined the gym I have been told by membership manager that money from my bank account will be taken in the end of month, however the payment was tried to be taken in the beginning of month, and resulted in bank charging penalties because there were no sufficient funds available to pay the gym request. Before I signed a contract I double checked many times with membership manager when they will take money from my bank account, just to make sure it will happen in the end of the month, because simply I had no money to pay in the beginning of that month. When I came to the gym asking what happened, they said that in my contract is clearly said that they take money in the begging of the month. Do you ever double check the contract in the gym when you speak to the MEMBERSHIP manager? This is what exactly contract says:"Cash price (including VAT) of monthly membership fee on or about the last working day of each consecutive month commencing on last working day of". To be honest no idea what does it mean, even a lawyer could not explain me. I used to send a lot of emails to the all levels of the management. Can you believe they did not help me at all!! Just to make story shorter. I paid for the first month and asked them to cancel my membership with immediate effect. Then I received an email that I have to pay once again, because I need to give a month notice! I have been in the gym twice only. On my first day I realized that I should have my own padlock! The membership costs £98 and I should still have my own padlock! "Very nice!" On the second time I suppose to have my complementary training with PT, but my PT did not come. No one apologized for this. When I was in the gym I just felt completely lost, like it is my own fault that my PT did not come, when I spoke to the help desk (they have one in the basement) they promised to find out what happened , the guy left and did not come back. I was waiting for 15 minutes, and then gave up. As I refused to pay £68 again they sent my details to the collection company “ARC Europe Limited”. I gave up fighting with them. It took me half a year already. The best thing what I can do is to leave this message for anyone who has a wish to join them. The management is very rude, snippy, insolent and disgraceful! Please never, never and never join this gym! This is not a luxury club! The management is not aware of the real meaning of word “luxury”!! P.S. Meanwhile they used to send me promotional emails all the time. They stopped to do so only when I said I will report to the police because they harassing me doing this, because I will never rejoin their club.

All through my membership they only communicated to trick me into arranging PT sessions and of course in the end to collect the cash, while no one had ever asked how I was going on with my programme when I was at the gym, not even a friendly chat to acknowledge that the customer is actually there. Shame, because the facilities are so nice.

Whoever spoke badly about 37 olympia is probably working for a rival gym.
Listen to me i am a genuine member, but forgive me cos Im a gym junkie and iv looked at this and its a long review, anyway, here it goes….
37 degrees is an excellent high end gym, the location is great and secluded. The reception serves its purpose excellently- i dont understand why people are complaining about it?!
Im always greeted by reception with a big smile and given fresh towels. If i need anything they are always attentive and listen well, also, about 90% of the time theres someone available to help me straight away.
The cafe is very good, the chef Greg seems to have the “magic touch” where whatever he brings you just seems to taste better cos’ “Greg made it” seriously, its good. Fresh sandwiches, paninis, quality coffees, diet food, nutritional gym drinks and supplements, fresh fruit, fresh flowers.
The gym itself is great, the cardio equipment is high quality its not those cheap/mid range machines that flood most gyms in London. They have a quality feel to them and this in turn means your cardio doesnt drag on, you feel that your on a quality machine and this makes you feel more positive.
The Cardio machines all have individual LCD Tvs and are ALWAYS clean or being cleaned periodically through the day. Iv been to gyms where theres still sweat on them or dried up on them, 37 takes care of this problem by regular cleaning (everyday at some point I see the staff cleaning the machines meticulously). THE CLEANLINESS OF THIS GYM WAS A BIG SELLING POINT TO ME AND 3 YEARS LATER ITS STILL JUST AS CLEAN, the cleanliness level didnt gradually slope down, it stayed at an excellent level.
The free weights area is generally quiet and well equiped with a variety of equipment not just dumbells, meaning my workouts through the past 3 years can be fun and varied. You wont get bored like gyms where youv just got classic dumbells and machines.
Its like the gym is future friendly and self prepares for the moment when your workout hits the boredom peak a year or two down the line. The fun alternative equipment available is quick to remedy this.
For example, They have machines called Kinesis from New Zealand for which work your muscles in a different way to standard machines allowing you to achieve movement, positions, or muscle development that normal gyms dont allow, Powerplates with Nasa technology to stretch out or relax your body, cables, etc etc etc, there are loads of neat little tricks and bits of equipment average gyms just dont have. This was another big selling point for me.
They have a swimming pool which is almost always quiet, same applies with the sauna and steamroom, which are both excellent.
Lastly, they have a roof garden with plenty of reclining sun chairs where one may find a quiet moment to themselves or just sit back and admire beautiful girls in their bikinis and try and act cool and unphased by it.
I like my gym
The girls who work there are beautiful too BONUS
But im there to train, and it serves its purpose very well thank you, im not a whinger, even in my reviews i dont WHINGE like a bitc* like (unfortunately) some of you do.
Even in my reviews when theres something bad look how I dont disrespect it, “honour those who serve you, dont be a pri*k” lol thats my own quote you like that

11th November 2011 – cold outside and even colder inside as COLD SHOWERS again!!!!
The staff are idiots in the olympia gym – just not bothered. Why they are able to just stand around reception chatting to each other, ignoring customers and being useless – it is like they are school kids. The staff at this place need a rocket underneath them – the management also for allowing it to be run so appallingly.
It could be such an amazing gym, but continues to disappoint. I’m going to look for another gym in the new year – continuing to pay them £81 per month for this rubbish makes me feel stupid.
UPDATE 24th November 2011
COLD SHOWERS AGAIN TODAY!
What are they doing?? Surely if you were managing this gym you would be all over this – taking charge to see your staff resolved it as an urgent priority… but no!
Here is a management idea – how about putting up a sign on reception to warn your members before they go in….at least to acknowledge the problem and say when you expect it to be fixed….
No?! Is that too much like common sense… yeah it probably is and would actually require some effort and someone to be bothered about the members who pay to keep staff in jobs they don’t deserve to have.
Can anyone recommend a gym in Hammersmith that has the luxury of hot showers and decent staff or am I asking too for much?!

After several months of hassle by 37 degrees London Bridge offering me free day passes and a free week pass I finally gave in and joined. The gym is baking, the air con rarely works and on one occasion the trainer slipped on the sweat in the gym. They offer you three free day passes for guests, a 60 minute massage and £40 joining fee and free one month pass. One person managed to use the free day pass the other was put through constant hassle by email and insistence that she met a trainer and finally gave up trying to use the pass. I never got the free massage, I was told it was now £20 towards a massage. Due to injury I asked to cancel the membership after one free month and paid a month fee, as I cancelled on 5th of the month they stipulate that I owe two months money. Bearing in mind that I joined on 28 of the month and was told I can take the free month at the beginning or the end I am fighting this. They then show you the terms and conditions that state this but which they don’t actually tell you when you join. Steer clear at all costs.

Could you tell me what the monthly membership fee is? Thanks
-
SALLYRUSSELL, 21 September 2011:
The monthly membership is currently £66 and £50 admin fee. This was supposed to be a special offer with a £40 (in June) admin fee and a one hour full body massage – never got that – and three week membership passes for guests – that turned out a nightmare as they had real problems using them.

Thanks Sally
The staff at this gym could not care less about their customers. I had a spa day voucher and the woman behind the counter didn’t even look at it, she just opened the gate and told me to go through. I asked about lockers and she said they were available. On getting upstairs it was clear you had to have your own padlock so I had to go back to reception to borrow one, again complete disinterest from the receptionist.
The facilities at this health club are good. The pool was quiet, the gym well equipped and I loved the roof terrace. The sauna, steam room and showers are also all good. I just wish someone had given me a quick tour or at least explained where things were. Casual visitors are essentially ignored.
The Treatment rooms staff were much better and very friendly. Shame they are let down by the 37 degrees staff.

I'm quite surprised about some of these comments and the low scores, although to be fair I haven't had any reason to talk to any of the staff for anything (which most of the complaints seem to be about). Judging the place purely as a gym, its excellent, it has a large weights area with a lot of free weights (including properly heavy dumbbells which a lot of gyms don't have), loads of cardio machines (although I've never tried these) and strength equipment. I haven't been in the pool and not sure if there is a cafe but one of my favourite gyms I've been a member of.

Avoid this gym at all costs.
When I signed up to a corporate membership they told me that I could cancel at any time after a 2 month lock-in period.
I had to cancel my membership a few months later and emailed them to let them know. However, they are now saying that my email cancellation was not sufficient and, under their terms and conditions, I should have sent a letter via registered post. However, at no time did anyone actually tell me this.
They have lost no time in referring me to a debt agency to recover the £100 they claim I owe. The debt agency is threatening me with legal action through the county court.
When I went into the gym in person to complain about this, their attitude was confrontational, aggressive and rude. One of their personal trainers used physically threatening behaviour.
Be very wary of joining this gym. Do not be fooled by any of the sales pitch when you make your initial enquiry. Their entire focus is on getting people to sign up (I am guessing they are on commission). Once they have your signature, they do not care and will resort to the worst kind of bullying.

No rating to be given. I was taken to 37 degrees by my daughter as a mothers day gift. We were greeted with a form to complete and then left to get on with things by ourselves. Needless to say we were totally lost.
The offer stated drink on arrival, gown, towels and someone to show us around. None of this was offered. We left after 20 minutes. WHY would anyone want to join such a shabby place. I have only given 1 star because I could not leave it blank, it does not deserve even the 1 star.

After being assured that I would have a free trial of the gym, I got my gym kit together and went to see Graham (from Romford in Essex). He must have spent an hour trying to hard sell me. He was very pushy and if he hadn't told me that his last sales post was in Fitness First in Romford, I would have assumed that he'd come straight from a used car dealership. Anyway, how could I make a decision without trying the product first? He sold it to me as a luxury joint, where I'd never need to wait for any equipment - very dangerous!...................

There is no need to be insulting. I am completely unbiased in my reviews. I have been to many gyms in London and around the world. My comments are all fair and I tell things as I see them. If you think that I have been inaccurate in a review, then let me know how. You may well have a different opinion of a place. In this case you can write your own review. I find it irrelevant whether I can afford to be a member of a gym or not. The question is value. I am comparing all the gyms that I go to with one another. This can only be a good thing for the consumer. I do write many positive things in reviews, but also negatives – remember that I am not trying to promote anyone – just give a fair opinion. Thank you for your comments :o)

Please don't join this gym. Strategy to get member to sign up: They will say yes to every request. But once you have signed up, they will totally forget about their commitments, ignore you and will show you the 'terms and conditions'. No apologies. The management focus of 37degrees is just to get in the members at all cost but no effort to maintain and keep the members for long.

37 Degrees gym are an uncompromising bunch of money makers. Your membership is just another number in the system to be exploited. nothing but bad experiences at this gym; bad facilities, dirty, rude staff, uncompromising terms and conditions and generally unhelpful management. I highly reccomend NOT to join this gym at all costs.

Unfortunately the management of the gym lets it down. Problems take far to long to remedy. Also, people at the reception are very rude.
A couple a months ago there have been COLD SHOWERS FOR OVER A WEEK. The problem has existed on and off for over a couple of months. Only after 2 weeks of an intermittent problem were engineers consulted. Apparently the problem is serious enough to warrent new boilers - therefore there will be a long wait. Also, the gym is not air conditioned properly- in fact it was broken last year in july/august and it took 2months to get it sorted. When I asked for a reduction in membership fees to reflect the fact that I was not being provided with the full service I was paying for I was told that the showers hadn't actually been taken away from me, I could still use them and they hadn't deliberately been withdrawn. I think that this misses the point and is shortsighted to say the least.

A New York style health club with reasonable prices and a plethora of services. This is one of the best gyms I have ever been to, you never have to queue for one of their many cardio machines, there is a wide array of classes for all tastes, a deserted swimming pool plus an indoor golf range. Plus staff are friendly and helpful, there is an excellent beauty salon and you can get healthy snacks post workout. The location is brilliant and helps to inspire you as does the fact you have your own TV on your cardio machine so can choose what to watch. Highly recommended.
