Stayed there a couple of times between 1998-2009. Very pleasant privatly run place. Excellent breakfast buffet- small but somewhat upscale.
Has a bit of the B&B feeling. It is located somewhat close to the gorgeous lake Alster(5-10 walking minutes), as well as next to a couple of restaurants, and bars. Very safe neighborhood!
There are public bus-transportation services to the central train station ( 5-6 bus stops) as well as a taxi-stand very close.
Not that cheap, but worth it.
Small and fine 4 star hotel near the outer Alster. Small lobby with reception. The hotel rooms are on the 3rd level. We were on the top floor. Cosily furnished rooms in baroque style. Slightly old decor. Very clean and cosy. There was an apple basked as a welcome. Breakfast buffet nice but heavily loaded with jam. Recommendable for those searching quiet as there're only 12 rooms.
