Restaurant am Chinesischen Turm, Schwabing, Munich

The "Restaurant am Chinesischen Turm" is always worth a visit. It's beautifully situated in the middle of the "Englische Garten" has excellent food and very competent and friendly staff. After your meal go for a stroll in the park or listen to some typical Bavarian Blasmusik.
Definitely 5 stars.

Worst food in Bayern!

Incredibly touristty but still excellent beer garden located in the English Garden. Great sausage and other food, excellent beer and the Chinese Tower is great for traditional Bavarian music at the weekends and as a place to shelter from unexpected rainstorms any time.

This biergarten feels touristy, but it's still a lot of fun to visit on a sunny summer day, as it's smack-dab in middle of the English Garden. I loved the live music and the wursts were pretty good, too.

I've been to quite a few Biergartens since I've lived in München and this is bar far my favorite. It used to be a local place for me when I lived in Schwabing. However, I now live on the opposite end of town and I still go to the Chinese Tower whenever possible.

Not many Biergartens have live Bayerischer Musik and such good food. It's just a München sort of place in the middle of one of the most beautiful public parks in the world... the English Garten.

The feeling here cannot be duplicated anywhere else. On a sunny, warm day, there are few places I'd rather be hanging out with friends than the Chinese Tower.
