Long Street, which is very aptly named by the way, is the place to do your own exploring, whether you are shopping for hidden treasures or unexpected bargains.

You can find items as diverse as tie-dyed clothing, antiques, second hand books and african curiosities here. Besides the shops, some of which have been around for decades, there are a number of low-budget backpackers, pubs, eateries and
internet cafes. Definitely a place to explore at your leisure.
