Gosh unless one is very unfit Torc is one of the easiest mountains to climb in Killarney and can be done in less than 2 hours!! Now Carrantouhill is a different story being the highest peak in Ireland and definately for the faint hearted or unfit!! Just take your time is the secret and of course get a weather report prior to starting out.

dont ever get talked into walking to the top of this thing - for our last anniversary my wife talked me into scaling one of the highest peaks in the kerry district - 3 heart attacks and a stroke later we got to the top.
the view is to die for tho
