Located near the top of trendy Kloof Street, everything about this library speaks for the dedication of its hard-working librarians. There is a large selection of novels and also some interesting books about the early days of South Africa and the Western Cape. The children’s and young adult books are well worth exploring.

Municipal grant cuts has prompted the librarians to begin a huge fund-raising effort of their own. As a result, they have acquired a collection of classical CDs available for a two week rental. Second hand books are also for sale.
