Driftwood Cafe is located in Parklands mainroad, Tableview, Cape Town. It is a family owned eatery run by the father Dale and co-managed by his sons. what makes Driftwood so spacial is the variety of the menu. It offers pizzas, seafood, buffets… you name it. the food is amazing and so is the semi lodge semi diner decor. they’re well known for their speedy and efficient service. they also let their premises and services to birthday parties, weddings and other celebrations. Guests also feel welcome in the way that Dale engages with his customers. I definitely recommend this rare treasure.

Montebello Design Centre is located in Newlands, Cape Town, and is the result of a financial and property bequest by Cecil Michaelis. The Project is situated in the farm buildings of the historic site of Montebello. These buildings and land have a colourful history, being the birth place of Ohlssons Brewery and Continental China.

Today, Montebello Design Centre is home to a broad spectrum of designers and artists, from jewellers to painters, film makers to landscapers

If your idea of breakfast in Heaven is a wooden table under the trees with birdsong and the occasional rustle of a passing squirrel, then Montebello is definitely your place. There is a choice of English or Continental breakfast, served with coffee or tea, and juice.

The Montebello restaurant also serves lunch and snacks like giant muffins and cake for in between, but unfortunately no supper.

There are other attractions too - a green house, an art gallery, a gift shop where you can buy ragdoll replicas of Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu, and also a farmshop that offers both organic produce and homecooked
meals.

Montebello is just a ten minute drive outside of Cape Town’s CBD, in the leafy suburb of Newlands.
