With the the thousands of fried chicken shops littering the London landscape I have to give Chicken Cottage some credit for being a little less dirty than the others. They have half-decent branding with a colourful blue, red and white design scheme that attracts drunk people like bugs to a light! Yes after a few pints its pretty tasty, the service has always been really friendly too, including free samples on more than one occasion. If you want cheap super-fast food after midnight this probably your best option, watch out for the wings though, one squirted my girlfriend with hot oil!

Rather than seperately review every Chicken cottage (or Dirty Chicken) I’m going to hop on Reasey’s to give a blanket review. The rules of Chicken Cottage club:
1. Do not try it when sober.
2. Understand that at £1.50 for a whole burger meal with chips and coke, there’s no way that is actually chicken.
3. Do not try it when sober.
4. If you are drunk and it is 3am in the morning, Chicken Cottage is amazing, allbeit a great health risk.
5. Never, ever attempt to try one of these if you are sober.

My local chicken cottage I’ll always recommend. There is never a dull moment… anyone that is a regular in here, will know the manager/owner who talks at the speed of lightning, but is hilarious… They always take care of me in there, and have even branched out to become Kebab Cottage! So if you’re ever waiting for the bus at Station Terrace drop in for some sinful food.
