I always get compliments on my hair after getting it done at James Whitaker's. As another reviewer said "Contemporary without being pretentious" sums it up perfectly. I will not go anywhere else now!

Absolutely amazing hairdressers, brilliant friendly staff. Only place my partner and son will go to get their hair cut and we travel all the way from Liverpool.

My wife hasn’t moaned about my hair at all for the three years I’ve been going to James. It doesn’t get any better than that.

I’ve been coming here for 8 years, since then James has cut my hair in a variety of wacky styles and I’ve always looked forward to coming back in for a chat.
Hands down the best hairdresser in Enfield.

Just got back from my first ever cut at James Whitaker – love it!
Fancied a change from my usual hairdresser, and got some great advice from the hairdresser at JW (was it Lisa? Didn’t find out her name!) about what sort of style would suit me best and she fixed up my terrible Claudia Winkleman fringe, lol! I’m rubbish with anything to do with hair, but now I feel a bit more informed about what works for me and what doesn’t.
Very friendly atmosphere, very easy to find, great prices (and good deals for first time customers and recommendations!) and just generally a nice place. Will definitely be going back there for my next haircut, and recommending to other Enfieldians to try it too! :)
My hair now looks great for my night out, and the new style will actually suit me better in the long term too, so woohoo! Thank you!

Love, love, love James Whitaker...brilliant haircut it's taken me years to find a hairdresser that listens & advices on my hair cut & doesn't rush you in & out....
The lovely pregnant lady(sorry don't know your name) did a fab hair cut. It's always so relaxing & your made feel so welcome. XXXX

I have taken my son here since his 1st cut 4 years ago and would let NO ONE else cut his hair.
Great atmosphere, relaxed and friendly with top stylists!!!

Got a great cut! Really chuffed and there was a lot of hair that needed going!
Made welcome as early as booking the appointment. Great place, great people.

I have been going to James's salon for a few years now and would NOT consider another.
West End quality, rare to find locally in comfortable surroundings with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
This unique salon comes HIGHLY recommended!

Just got home from having a Kerastraight treatment at James Whittaker. I am so impressed.
Friendly and professional, my hair feels amazing, and I had a relaxing time. The salon is contemporary without being pretentious and my treatment was done in a small private area so there was plenty of privacy through all the various stages.

lindseykealy, 11 June 2010:OK, 3 weeks later and my hair is still lovely! My hair was in really bad condition and since having Kerastraight at James Whittaker I haven't even used my straighteners!!
This is one treatment that does work, having spent a fortune on treatments in the past that don't work this is a real treat! -

I now go to James & Donna at James Whittaker for everything, cut, colour the works, and really happy with the results, my hair looks great. The prices are really reasonable.
It's so refreshing t go and see a colourist who really listens to what you want! If you are fed up having your hair done by a stylist who really isn't interested then give them a try!

The only place I'd take my little boy to get his hair cut. Top quality haircuts and a great, friendly atmosphere.
Put the pudding bowl and scissors back in the cupboard and get yourself a proper haircut!

I have my hair cut & coloured at James's salon and would highly recommend their services to my friends and family. The salon is friendly, comfortable and above all they know what they're doing and unlike most hairdressers they listen to what you want! Don't be put off by their predominantly male clientelle, they are one of the best womens hairdressers in Enfield and you can also get a great Fake Bake spray tan too!
