Their process of "accreditation" of the companies they host on their site is flawed and there are serious loopholes in the way that the site operates. AnyVan take money as a cut of transactions without even lifting a finger. They simply provide apparatus for these "deals" and contracts between individuals and traders/movers to go ahead.

The company I used has a lot of positive reviews, but I didn't get that level of service ... but the site is fatally flawed if negative reviews are deleted!
Just be aware.

A few mintues later(around 12:00), my husband called and he said he has not sent the driver out. First he said the driver is in Kent. When my husband questioned that how can a driver travel in 2 hours from Kent to Preston? Then he said his driver is in Liverpool. He said he won't come because we haven't paid in advance. (Later AnyVan confirmed that we only need to pay half at pick up, half at delivery). Excuses one after another.
We then put an review of this LK Logistics Kent on ANYVAN, and Gareth who is the founder of LK Logistics Kent called us liers. And he denied he ever said the vehicle has a puncture. Also AnyVan removed our review. When I spoke to AnyVan about our refund and review, the gentleman on the phone insisted that there is another side of story, what Gareth from LK Logistics Kent said there is a puncture could be true. It could be true even when the boss Gareth denied he ever said that? How can they contradict to each other so much? So don't rely on those reviews from AnyVan site blindly. The reaosn we chose LK Logistcs Kent is becuase of its positive reviews. We now realise that the negative reviews have been removed!!!!!

Unfortunately a very disappointing service with Anyvan given their lack of customer service. They were only interested in getting their fees,get a deposit (which was 20% of what the moving man was going to charge) rather than offering a helpful and secure service - under which a deposit could be refunded if there was miscommunication between the vendor and the customer.
I would instead recommend

Tried to use this to pick up some work moving items around London for money and all I can say is it is a waste of time.
Stay away. You’ve got more chance of winning the lottery than you have winning a bid to move something on this website!

We wanted a cheap and effective delivery service to courier some furniture over to our son at university in London and after receiving some ludicrous quotes discovered anyvan who by ingeniously utilizing empty vans making one way trips up and down the country can offer faboulous savings and help save the economy .... they get a 5 star thumbs up from us and our son was delighted with the new furnishings as well

I run an up and coming furniture company in Chelsea and hence have to deal with a lot of collections/deliveries, pretty much on a daily basis. We use Anyvan for most of these jobs, and will continue to do so - it's a spectacular service.
The site's easy to use, and we've found, very reliable - something very important to us considering we are dealing with customer satisfaction.
More importantly we are able to pass the FANTASTIC savings directly on to our clients, (something especially important given the rising fuel prices, and the escalating cost to deliver furniture nowadays)...
It definitely gives us a bit of a head start against other companies in what is a very competitive market, plus, nice to know we're doing a bit for this poor planet of ours....!

Excellent service. Cheap prices because you can communicate with small companies who don't have high overheads. I have had very very good experiences, must be because all the suppliers are rated on feedback.
