Decent Club in central probably better on nights other than Saturday as music is better. Bit Pricey but then to be expected for where it is, good place to take people that like House/Club music. Good measures on shots!!!!
I give Punk 5 Stars...
...great club. Bit worried about it future as explained well here:

Basically they seem to be moving away from the edgy entertainment that's made the club what it is today - I'm sure it's temporary!
I went here on a saturday night, and although the club was cool blah blah blah, the service at the bar was terrible and left a really sour taste in my mouth. I was waiting to be served and was tapping some pound coins on the bar in time to the music whilst happily chatting to my friends. But the barman thought I was tapping impatiently because I had yet to be served, and proceeded to have a massive go at me! All very embarrasing and he walked off before I could explain that I wasn't being rude or impatient, I was just tapping, because tapping is what I do! He then proceeded to serve everyone else before me and, when I was finally served, he was uber-sarcastic. I'm not normally one to moan about service, but it really was very offputting. Also be warned; if you accept the paper towel from the lady in the toilet she WILL ask you for cash. Shame really, as the door staff were really nice and the acoustics for the live bands were great, but I won't be going back.
If you want to experience the London scene for exactly what is
presently is, then Punk is your best bet in town. The crowd is varied
and mirrors the four corners of the capital. The east and the west
London crowds meet here and you get people coming up from the far
south too and then Hampstead. Everyone adds to the atmosphere from the
rich rich, to the poor students and everyone just has a great time
interacting. They’re not gonna look at you like you’re nuts if you try
and talk to them if you don’t know them. It’s open. This is what
London’s about.
Perfect night out for a night with the girls just to
let your hair down and be who you are! Love it!
I was pleasantly surprised with this club. The hype around it made me think I would be disappointed (Kate Moss, Lady Gaga and Paris Hilton have all partied here). However, I had a thoroughly good night out here on a Thursday.
We started off at an event which included a fashion show, free bar and performance by Miss Frank. At 10pm the club opened to the public and I ended up staying till about 1.30am. There was a good mix of music, some bands that weren't half bad and plenty of alcohol at expensive, but not break the bank, prices.
The best thing is the amount of seating. There's plenty of it which is nice when your heels start hurting. The crowd is generally young and trendy but friendly enough. I'd probably come again if I was in the area.
I’m often quite dubious of going for nights out in the Soho/Oxford Street area. In my experience the clientele tends to be a rather strange mix, with too high a proportion of old men on their own, leering, for my liking, but I have to say, Punk was quite different. It might have something to do with the £10 entry fee, but it wasn’t too busy and seemed to be full of trendy youngsters with the average age probably about 25. I really liked the decor in here - they have lots of seating, all chesterfields and fancy chairs!
The drinks are pricey, but the bar staff are friendly and there wasn’t too much of a queue at the bar (or to get into the club) and, for once, even the doormen were friendly! (The doorlady - not so much).
The best thing abouut this place has to be the rock-eoke! The live band on stage add to the atmosphere and everyone lets rip! Make sure you get your name down early, if you wait until you’ve had a few drinks to work up the courage, all the places will be taken!
A relatively surreal a still pretty cool night out. Punk is a playground for the cool kids, but does it with impressive style. Full of Louise XIV-style furniture in insane colours and over-the-top pixelated full-length images of people having a wild time doing whatever, it’s the kind of club you could bring anyone to and chances are they would find something to be impressed by. It’s pretty plush and very comfortable, and strangely discreet for being spitting distance from Oxford Street. It’s worth making the kind of friends who throw parties at Punk.
There has not been one bad night spent in punk in about 5 visits i have had there. We have always ensured we are on the guest list to ensure a smooth entry into the club. The drinks are very expensive in here and if you pay by card they will add a charge for any amount spent. I would recommend heading down past Soho square and heading t some bars first.
The music on a Friday and Saturday always seems to be quite mainstream heading into a bit husey and garagey on request.
Drink before and just pay for entry (£10)
Used to be called Pop and terrible, this place is now called Punk and a celebrity hangout, made famous by Kate Moss having her 33rd birthday here. Lots of cool events now happen here (mostly thanks to the one and only wonderful Nick Ede) and it’s always a good night. Again like many London clubs that you have to walk downstairs to get into, it smells slightly of drains (or bad eggs at times) and they are burning quite a lot of incense to cover it up. Punk - don’t think you can get away with it - we’ve noticed! I love this place but if the smell continues the celebs (and us) will go elsewhere.
A night not to be missed, punk has all the traits of a perfect night out!
Its vibrant colours, especially the loud orange that coats the dancefloor mixed with great music and a few drinks mean you’ll be dancing till early hours.
be sure to get there early to avoid queues!
One is not known to frequent “clubs” very often these days, the prices, the congestion, the poor fire and safety and the rather late hours that they appear to be open. The loud music, if that’s what they call it these days never really appeals either. I’m not old, everyone else is just wrong.
You’ll understand then that I found myself in a half empty Punk for a work jolly where thankfully it was deemd not necessary to purchase a drink, excellent hospitality. The venue doesn’t appear to have changed all that much since its days as Pop, it is remarkably orange. The decor is nice enough although once more excuse me while I express my detest at sofas in such places. There is a VIP area should you wish to spend the evening at a club sat down trying to talk over a booming sound, or trying to appear superior. The proles have more fun anyway.
The bar staff were friendly and even cracked a smile without my six bottle drunken charm. The door staff were a little less friendly but then they always are. Punk does suffer from one of those long bars with great big posts nearby, not an ideal set up and the bar looks like a bit of a lobster pot as the masses attempt to be served.
It is a nice little place is Punk and should any event or gig occur within that takes my fancy I’ll have no problem returning; high praise indeed.
This was my first visit in about 4 years; back in the day I think it used to be called Pop, but was relaunched in early 2007. Nothing seems to have changed, the bar and dancefloor are drenched in an amsterdam red glow - very Soho. It’s a fairly compact affair, but you can book tables in the VIP section if you feel the need to secure a seated drinking zone.
Sitting down might not be a bad idea when you look at the drinks menu; prices off the top of my head were £3.80 a corona; £18.00 a bottle of house dry white; Cocktails were stroking the tenner mark and two shooters for £6.
We went on a friday when the music was billed as 70s/80s/90s disco, but apparently THURSDAY is meant to be THE night to be seen here.
Beware of tall men in drag offering UV glasses - you think it looks cool at the time….
Punk is a quite trendy haunt especially with celeb’s on a Friday night. The decor is quite funky in dark reds, black and gold.
Good range of cocktails and mostly commercial music playing over the weekends.
The club itself is of average size with a small vip area. Nice night out but nothing amazing.
