This is a nice, fairly new pub (I think it is only 4 years old).

It’s a more mature crowd i.e. 30 and up so you don’t have to put up with drunken youths on a night out. They don’t have music, but do have screens for the football. Even when the football is on, the crowd is pleasant and there is no animosity.

They also do food, but I’ve never eaten here. Other people’s food has always looked perfectly nice when it passes me by on the way to another table though.

Even though it could be classed as a pub restaurant, I have never taken my children there as it definitely feels like more of a pub than a restaurant.

This is definitely the place to come if you want to drink in a pleasnt, unpretentious venue where you can chat with your friends without having to shout above thumping music.
