you are dead right. But it suits the pretentious area.I would never buy anything from there. It’s too expensive for the real locals. It’s for upper middle class who have spare dosh and time. It’s their club. Leave 'em and go jumble sales where they never go to see what was 50p on the junk pile is now £50 chez Interiors.. True. Tourists can only get up there in the day cos the area is dead other times. The venue is tiny cramped with stuff your granny rejected. But fair do s…. makes the world go around. The good thing is that Penny welcomes local artists and writers so there’s an outlet for the greater pseuds. Couldn’t help myself then!Time warp place.Belongs on a remote island. Good luck to 'em.

I've bought loads of really good stuff here - furniture, crockery, gifts, vintage clothing - always cheaper than you'd find similar for sale at Spitalfields and Brick Lane, for example. Penny is warm and charming and there are several very nice places to eat and drink close by. Come to the village!

Some nice bits 'n pieces in here, if you're too laden with stroller, mutt and hangover on a Sunday (like half of E17) to go grubbing around Brick Lane.
Staff are charming, occasionally there's a bargain, and it's reassuring to see that people are still selling contemporary photography at high prices!
On a serious note, I've bought some lovely things here that I've been relieved to see (unsold for months) at higher prices elsewhere.
Drop in. Penny, and perhaps even Clarice, await.

This is another gem in Walthamstow village that I stumbled upon during my recent trip out to Walthamstow. It’s opposite the lovely Italian restaurant Trattoria La Ruga and perfect if you love vintage clothes, jewellery, and just nice stuff to go in your house. There is a very cute resident cat who sleeps across one of the tables squishing a few things, which just adds to the vibe. I managed to find a cheap vintage Matthew Williamson skirt suit in here, that would normally go for ££££! I’m loving it and have rekindled my love affair with vintage shops. Definitely worth a visit for reasonably priced vintage clothes, jewellery, and bags… and lots of other cool stuff.
