Hm mixed reactions about the park. there are tennis courts and a few parking areas, open fields to play football, goal posts, and also some walking space. Theres a kids area, swings etc. So all in all everything for everyone. though still i don’t feel overly safe in the park, it can be intimidating with all the kids and teenagers in a big group. Though ive been told the police control is tight and moves on large gangs.
It is a park, but the safest way to go would be to walk your vicious dog to stay safe! Though what i suggest is not to follow the stereotype of assuming all the young are intimading criminals! so let your hair down and give it a chance

Not to be confused with the local ‘Claybury Park’, this open space is superb for sport, families, or simply a place to walk your dog. Very popular in the summer, ‘Clayhall Park’ has facilities for tennis, cricket, outdoor bowls, football, and a lovely children’s play area.
It is frustrating that some local school children prove a nuisance at times, and I have chatted to people who have felt threatened, or have actually be confronted while walking in the park. With this said, I am not aware of any serious incidents that have occurred, and I am quite sure that people generally feel safe in this space, and the hordes of young families that use it are testament to that fact.
There are things that could be improved, for example, the park keeper seems to have taken an extensive leave of absence (5 years or more, is my guess) and the flower gardens need to be better maintained. The problem with local school children does need to be addressed and if this occurs, the park would no doubt get a higher rating from me in the future.
